Above is my final work of art. I chose to collaborate two lessons from this semester. The two art history lessons I chose were NYC-1980s assignment and the Formal Elements lesson. I chose both of these because I connected with both of these lessons the best. I decided to incorporate Haring's drawing into the assignment by drawing the characters on the left end and right end. Then I incorporated the Formal Elements by finding a fashion outfit in magazines that I had and put it in the middle of the canvas. I also decided to use Warm toned (red) and cool toned (green) as a background design for the final. I did a pattern by switching the colors. I felt these lessons were the ones I was able to connect with the most because I had a complete understanding of what was needed of me. I connected with the art that I made.

In my environment assignment I chose to make a triangle with a few snowed on sticks that I found by the grass by my townhouse. The triangles history is deeply rooted in mathematics and geometry dating back to ancient civilizations like Egypt. The triangle, a three sided polygon, evolved from practical needs like surveying and construction and its study expanded to geometry and eventually trigonometry.

the song I selected was “Respect” by Aretha Franklin.

For my Minimalism assignment, it may look like what I did was simple but to me I think it is pretty unique. I don't know if you would consider this a lamp, or maybe a night light but this is what I used for the assignment. I think it's pretty cool because it changes colors after a few seconds if I change the settings, and it is also a speaker which is cool because I can listen to music with it anytime I want to. I recorded this during the afternoon so I didn't have a lot of space to work with so I put it on my desk near the wall, so the light reflects against the wall and on the desk as you can see.

The pop cans I used were Mountain Dew and Pepsi. Those are probably 2 of my favorite kinds of pop that I drink, so I thought I could use them since they mean something. The St. Bonaventure University logo is important to me because I attend the university. The logo means something to me as it will resemble four years of my life.

for my art work, I found a bunch of pictures of apples in a Wegmans magazine. I shop at Wegmans pretty often back at home so I thought this would be a good idea. The apples repeated among the magazine a lot. In fact, apples are one of my favorite fruits. this affects the individual and consumer behavior because they are trying to sell the apples in the magazines, so they repeatedly put them in the magazine to try and sell them. They want to put the apples in the magazines to make them look good.

I think using digital art can be very helpful to hands on art because it can give us an outline like this did for me so I’m not free drawing and get confused what the image I’m drawing is about.

For this weeks assignment I saw Paulie and AJ's work and instantly thought of an idea I could do for this week's assignment. both of them used red adn green as their background colors but I noticed in Paulie's art he used shapes for an aesthetic to take the viewers eyes off the main work, and AJ used a green then red pattern on his art. I decided to incorporate both of their work into one so that's why I did my best to not connect green and red next to each other.

The color combination I chose for the background was red (warm-toned) and green (cool-toned). As for the background pattern, I outlined parts of the background with red and filled it in, and then I filled the rest of the empty space in with green. For the fashion outfit I had a difficult time trying to find a reasonable pair of pants that would match the jersey but I was not able to find much. I thought the sun glasses would be a cool part to add in so I added them.

The first picture is my original work of art from the album cover that I chose. I decided to choose the album cover The Carter IV by Lil Wayne. I chose this album cover because I thought of an idea when I saw this. The album cover picture shows a young kid wearing a cap and gown like he is graduating. To me this shows that he is moving on to another chapter in his life. I think my artwork resembles the album cover because just like in the album cover the player who was just drafted to the NBA is moving on to another chapter in his life. My favorite song from this album is Interlude. This is my favorite song because I like to beats and rhythm of the song which makes it very easy to listen to.
