Illuminated Internet (2024-2025)
The statement stages an epistemological crisis by projecting onto the cat an implausibly rich theory of electrodynamics. Rather than interpreting the animal's behavior through an ethological framework of conditioned sensorimotor responses, it retroactively imputes intentional agency, technological competence, and moral depravity. The cat is no longer merely participating in electrostatic phenomena but appears to have constituted static electricity as an instrument within its practical ontology.
The sofa ceases to function as furniture and is reconfigured as an electrostatic apparatus—a distributed charging mechanism embedded within the domestic assemblage. The cat demonstrates what can only be described as an embodied, pre-discursive mastery of Maxwellian field dynamics, despite lacking any symbolic representation of electromagnetism. This produces an epistemic scandal: the animal behaves as if it possesses propositional knowledge that should be inaccessible to non-linguistic cognition.
The paradox emerges from the tension between explicit and tacit knowledge. Human observers distinguish between declarative understanding ("I know what static electricity is") and procedural competence ("I know how to exploit it"). The cat appears to collapse this distinction, exhibiting an inscrutable form of practical rationality that bypasses conceptual mediation entirely. Its cognition resembles what phenomenologists might call an intentional arc rather than explicit inference, while simultaneously appearing uncannily strategic.
More disturbingly, the narrative attributes recursive theory of mind to the animal. The cat is imagined not merely as predicting an electrical discharge but as modeling the human's anticipation, affective vulnerability, and startle response. The electrostatic discharge thus becomes communicative rather than incidental—a semiotic event whose meaning is sadism.
This transforms the cat from biological organism into Machiavellian agent. The shock is no longer interpreted as a contingent byproduct of triboelectric charging but as the terminal act of a deliberately optimized causal chain. The cat effectively instrumentalizes the laws of physics, recruiting them as extensions of its own agency. In actor-network terms, the sofa, carpet fibers, atmospheric humidity, and human nervous system become enrolled within a heterogeneous assemblage whose telos is the production of mischief.
At a deeper level, the post exposes the human tendency toward hyperactive agency detection. Faced with an improbable coincidence, consciousness overfits intentional structure onto stochastic events, preferring the hypothesis of feline strategic genius over mundane electrostatics. The result is an anthropomorphic inflation in which accidental physics is redescribed as calculated malevolence.
The final question—"How does she understand static electricity?"—therefore functions as a pseudo-profound inquiry into non-human epistemology while secretly presupposing its own conclusion. The cat is treated as having solved the problem of natural philosophy through pure embodied praxis. She has, apparently, derived an operational theory of triboelectricity without language, mathematics, experimentation, or peer review, and has immediately redirected this achievement toward the lowest conceivable ethical end: lightly inconveniencing a nearby human for personal amusement.
Charlie Kirk revealed in a 2025 interview with Bill Maher that Falsettos was his favorite musical in his teen years, and an incredibly impactful work to him in general. He noted being particularly moved by Christian Borle's performance of main character "Marvin," stating that he found "[Marvin's] commitment to his family admirable" and even mentioned how he "used the lyrics from the song 'What More Would I Do? in [his] vows to Erika."
!!!
I FUCKING PRAY THIS IS REAL
If you want proof, watch the interview!
I knew what video this link led to, and I still clicked it like an idiot
the thing about being bullied for being weird as a kid is that even if you've always embraced being weird your brain is still always looking for the line where it's too much. you can be as proudly and intentionally weird as you want and you can love being weird but your mind is still convinced there's a point where you get too weird and people start treating you like a weird looking bug again. also it feels like you reach that point 500 times a day even if everyone you've spoken to today found you pleasant and likable and even if you're completely alone in your house with nobody looking at you at all.
If you ever feel like you don’t matter just know there’s a tumblr mutual who thinks about you when they hear a certain band, see a certain color, show, book, or even just see a post that reminds them of something you might like even though they’re across the world from you

honestly funny to me that project hail mary stars Ryan Gosling bcos like imagine being an alien and the first human you meet is Ryan Gosling. im imagining Rocky trying to figure out how physical attractiveness works for humans (u know out of scientific curiosity) and while trying to get a fix on it being like 'Grace considered attractive??' and Grace is like nooo not really I'm pretty regular.
& then later in the event of making contact w other humans Rocky being like 'so that was a fucking lie'

Any advice on what to wear to a wedding in September in southern Spain for someone who is fem presenting, 171 cm tall, doesn't like wearing synthetic fabrics, revealing or tight clothes, (generally the more fabric the better), and can't wear heels because of joint problems, that I won't overheat in, will be able to dance in, and won't "outshine the bride" in? To say I'm lost would be an understatement. I hate shopping for clothes, but I gotta start looking for an outfit, and my mood board is non-existent, plus the last time I was to a wedding, I was 5 years old and my mother dressed me and my sister in matching mini dresses, I have no idea what an adult size human is allowed to wear to a wedding.
I really want to attend and have as much fun as possible, because I like the couple getting married, but as an autistic abstinent at a slavic-hispanic wedding I know it's going to be a sensory nightmare out there and I don't want my outfit to add to it.
Any ideas?
I'm looking through pinterest and online shops offers, and I'm starting to think they just don't make pretty clothes marketed as wedding guest attire, because why is everything I see so tacky plastic looking and straight up ugly
