Double the luck.

“It’s gonna take the night but I’m not goin’ ta eat here, had my meal before I came an’ all.”

Eridan crossed his arms, there is a little bit of attitude to his voice, and he taps his right foot once. “Let’s get to business, I want to see your security system and then the warehouse that was broken into.”

His clothes do look the troll usual, but there is a clear outline of a vest under them, and some bandages around his right hand, the aftermath of a deal in blood recently made.

Not that it matters right now. 

“Then I will take measurements an’ look into how to prevent it an’ if you want then I can contact someone that can make tech that won’t fuckin’ track everythin’ you do with it.”

He shakes his head, the idea of someone doing that makes his nerves fire up. Well, it doesn’t really take much to make him nervous and paranoid, really.

“It’s not getting untapped tech that’s the issue, I’ve got several people I know for that kind of shit. That and I’ve figured out most of it on my own.” A roll of eyes, but Sollux shuffles back, just enough to slip into loose shoes, before fully slipping outside. It was best to start at the warehouses, and so he led Eridan along, winding about the outside of the castle to the larger structures.

They’re all done in the same stonework, built and solid looking outside, most likely reinforced metal inside and triggered to the pit and back with security codes. Seems like, however, when they reach the one in question, that it didn’t stop some people from trying shit. There’s clear claw marks on the stone, but numbers punched into the security console, and the door opened showed even more of a mess.

Boxes are broken and strewn everywhere, along with a mess of bloods, olive and bronze by the looks of it covering most, along with a few flecks of cerulean itself. A fight had happened, though Sollux didn’t mention a word of it.

There is a lot to do tonight, but most of it involves talking with someone you kind of agree with in many ways, but don’t trust much, and you are sure it is a mutual feeling.

You spent the entire weekend just… not working, and after a week of disappearing from most people’s sights and avoiding much interaction beyond what was needed, you feel like you have to do something relevant and important to further your goals, which this isn’t exactly it, but a favor owed by someone that has many contacts, ways and methods to apply the information he has gathered… That is kind of something.

You use a personal transportalizer rather than the portable one to access the private coordinates sent your way, tense all over because of your paranoia, as soon as you are transported to the place, you look around and send a quick message.

You prefer to discuss these things in person, less chance of it being recorded forever. Though, despite Sollux talking about it often, you still do find owning a castle very… garish.

Of course, the transportalizer pad was outside, outside and away from the main building of his hive, though he wasn’t a complete asshole to leave it exposed to the elements if he had to come and go on his own. Still, it’s got it’s own ritzyness about it, the stones leading up to the castle-like hive, splitting off into paths that twist and wind around the property. 

Still, Sollux’s hive is, by far, nowhere close to what some hives are like to those with higher blood than his own. 

From the spot on the pad, it’s easier to see more buildings behind the castle itself, done in the same motif as the rest of the property, but clearly meant to be storage units for something or another. 

Yet, Sollux isn’t a poor host. There’s no reply to the message, just a lingering silence, before a smaller, side door to the hive opens, and Sollux himself is stood in the doorway. He’s dressed down, a loose blue hoodie of his own color over a dark shirt, zipped up for now, while he’s stood in socks of all things and comfortable jeans.
