Landscapes of Patagonia.

This past September I took some time off to hike and run a marathon in Torres del Paine, a national park on the Chilean side of Patagonia. If you trace your finger down a map of the South American continent and stop just shy of the end, that’s about where the park is located - truly remote, only accessible by a full day’s worth of travel.

Arriving in Torres del Paine is like arriving on the moon. We didn’t hike for long on the recovery day, but even in that short time the scenery was breathtakingly varied and alien - like something out of a surrealist painting. Even now as I look back through the scans it’s hard to believe a place like this exists.
