We Are All We’ve Got.”

Today, after the sentencing of Karmelo Anthony outside the Collin County Courthouse, one thing was clear: many people in our community are carrying strong emotions.

Some are grieving. Some are angry. Some believe justice was served. Others are questioning whether the justice system treats Black youth fairly. Many are simply trying to make sense of what this case means for the future.

Regardless of where people stand on the verdict or sentence, this case has sparked difficult conversations about race, accountability, youth, public perception, and the criminal justice system.

Tell the truth and shame the MAGA devils. Although at this point, we know that is impossible. They have not one ounce of shame.

They want to go back to the beginning. Remember when trump told the Black Journalist that the Hispanic immigrants were taking all the "Black jobs" then later he stated that he had tried to get Blacks to take up the slack regarding the loss of immigrant workers but we wouldn't do it.

These mofo's have every intent on pushing us as far back as we will allow them to.

We helped build this country. We helped defend this country. We are not less than anyone, and we do not need anyone’s permission to demand dignity, rights, and truth.

Uncle Bobbie's Coffee & Books is a coffee shop and bookstore located in the heart of the Germantown section of Philadelphia. Founded by Marc Lamont Hill in 2017, Uncle Bobbie's was created to provide underserved communities with access to books and a space where everyone feels valued.

In addition to our specially curated book selection, we also serve high quality coffee, food products, and more, including apparel and children's games. We are also a community space that holds free author talks, workshops, and other events, including weekly story time for kids and back to school drives.
