No, she just has a terrible sense of awareness. She totally hadn’t notived the attorney’s badge. Honestly, this is why you should present the badge to everyone you come across the MOMENT you meet them.

The girl turns to face the older man, an expression of shock on her face.

“Phoenix… Is really an attorney…?!”

There’s still a sense of hesitation, uncertainty, but Phoenix finally uses his most powerful move, and presents his badge. The girl’s eyes widen–

“Then… we can truly save Mister Chicken! Phoenix, so cool…!”

She’s looking at him with a sense of awe. You just got a fan, Phoenix. A weird, delusional fan with no sense of awareness or tact, who’s barely aged fourteen, but a fan nonetheless.

As if you gave him any chance to do so, Kagura. Besides, Phoenix is more elegant that simply shoving his badge on people’s faces at right the first second. Law school teaches you the best moment to present your credentials to assure a maximum amusement from a potential client.

In any case, he’s glad that she’s finally understood that he’s an attorney, but perhaps he should dissuade her from guessing his name this early. “By the way, my name is Caster, just so we’re in proper calling terms. And I’m pretty sure that you aren’t actually ‘Athena Psyches’, so how should I call you?”

totally and utterly true. When Kagura is around, everything goes at her pace, leaving little to no room for someone to push in unless they had an equally forceful personality.

And while Phoenix was a force to be reckoned with in court, he was definitely not a force to be reckoned with when it came to rambunctious kids.

“Caster?”

For a moment, Kagura tilts her head, stares at Phoenix. 

“But, that’s just as much a given role as Phoenix Wrong, is it not...? Definitely not proper calling terms.”

Kagura’s stuffing her face with absolutely no sense of grace or delicacy.

Though no one is particularly surprised at that revelation, it must still be said for the sake of setting the scene.

“Uwa… Takoyaki, hamburger, ice cream, croissant…”

All of said things had been placed in front of the young yato, and every few moments she tasted a new one.

Next, as if echoing the girl only a few feet away–

“There is so many, yes!”

       Wah, there’s even this scene set up over here?! The mountain of food set up within arm’s length was absolutely horrible. So many different types of delicious food, so many different things that Hibiki could be eating. She was pretty sure Servants didn’t need to eat, but that didn’t necessarily mean she was lacking in want. 

              “…Fuwah…”

The young girl just inhales everything she touches, as if some kind of spirit of gluttony had possessed her. 

But, nope... Unfortunately for the master who had to feed and care for her, this was Kagura’s usual appetite. And, unfortunately for the onlooker, she was completely and utterly focused on her food, not noticing the jealous onlooker.

Kagura goes on to eat, until one particular thing she picks up causes her face to fill with disgust--

“Mayonnaise covered chicken...?! Even now, those corrupt police officers taunt me...!”

“... Are you senile, old man…?”

She says that, but her eyes are just a bit wide, her gaze just a bit amazed–

After all… She’s met talking dogs, and talking cats, and talking old men in duck costumes, what’s to say that this guy can’t talk to felines?

Kagura wavers for a moment, her eyes darting to Meowzart and then to Sigma. Then, as if decided, her expression softens into a smile.

“…Hehe…”

Once again, the girl changes expressions at the drop of a hat… Kagura takes a few steps closer in to Sigma and Meowzart.

“Oh… I gave Meowzart his name, but I forgot to give mine, uh-huh… Shinpachi would scold me for being rude.”

She gets on eye level with Meowzart.

“My name is Kagura, nice to meet you. Meowzart, and mister too.”

[◑] “Nope, nyat senile. It’s the honest truth.” Sigma ignored the senile comment this time- it still irked him, but he could tell by her face that she was at least a bit curious. That was good. Drop the hostility, at least.

Meowzart meowed again in response to Kagura, eyes open wide and staring at her. Sigma chuckled a bit, scratching the cat under the chin.

“He says it’s nice to meet you too.” And after a moment’s pause, he introduced himself as well. “You can call me Sigma, by the way. You don’t need to keep calling me mister.”

“...Honyest truth, you mean.”

...Wasn’t this girl saying something earlier, about puns and old men and specifically dissing them? It seems she’s completely forgotten, as she softly corrects Sigma, her tone surprisingly gentle compared to her earlier stance.

She’s still on kneeling down, slightly, watching Meowzart’s face. He stares, and she stares, the slightest blush on her face. It almost makes her feel closer to the feline than before, when she had been patting him herself.

Her eyes flicker upwards, when Sigma speaks--

alternatively send ‘ + ‘ after the symbol for the roles to be reversed where possible !

“Absolutely nobody. Nada. Zilch.”

“As if!!! Rather than hiding your ugly face, work on washing the smell of mayonnaise and tobacco off first! You have been around the mayora addict too long!”

“It is disgusting, yes. Adults acting like grade schoolers? If they have a party, just send us invites! Just propose normally! Going through the hassle of making a treasure hunt just makes it embarrassing when we have to turn them down–”

 She’s getting carried away, gesturing angrily with her arms from up and down. As if realising this, with a rare sense of self awareness, the girl huffs, slowing her rant.

“I hope they get the power on soon, yes? Even if the hospital has  backup generators, they do not last forever…”

She has a good point, there. There’s a lot of other ways on how we’re so dependent on electricity in our lives. If there were places without generators where they were in immediate need of it, and were they were caught up in this outage, then they may possibly be…

He doesn’t want to vocalize it. She has insight, but she’s still a child.

But, there were people and places that didn’t merely benefit from electricity, but require it. Even as Kagura complained about her lack of roast, that sort of thing was still the the main reason she felt the need to complain about whoever was in charge of this mess.

The sort of people who would summon them to fight in a ‘war’... Do they have the capacity to even care about the lives that are at risk from their stunt?

But, in that same manner, if they had done this to save humanity, then would they let those people die? There is no easy answer. So, for now--

“…Is that not what they call… ‘chuuni’, yes? Trying to seem cool and mysterious.”

She’s not amused by whoever is doing this. She has a weakness to heat and the sun, alright? Plus…

Ari had a roast cooking in the oven! It’s going to go all gross now, you know?!

…What does chuuni mean. Ah well, might as well pretend you know what’s going on!

“Haha, that does make it sound like they’re teenagers trying to stand out from the crowd. Maybe they just want to greet us all with a big party. But ah, it’s not much of a party without the electricity, isn’t it?”

“More than on a rare occasion…? But, I thought Ari was not rich, yes…?”

When you’re a poor, unemployed twenty something year old with an inability to pay rent, a terrible gambling habit and a fourteen year old girl who eats quadruple as much as a normal person would, you have to take what you can get…

Which, unfortunately, turns out to be ‘the cheapest possible’. 

“…Where else but from space?”

Deep, long blinks. Kagura tilts her head to the side, staring at her master with the slightest of bewilderment. In retrospect, perhaps, it’s understandable that Ari would be stunned, but to Kagura, who has lived her whole life in a world where space travel was commonplace…

It was weird for her to imagine anyone questioning the idea.

“Oh, are you asking where I grew up, yes? Um…”

She’s hesitating to say it. But, then she looks up to Ari and meets her master’s eyes.

“A planet called Rakuyou. It always rained, so the sun never came out.” 

Absentmindedly, Kagura’s fingers run across the hilt of the umbrella she always carries with her.

      “Well, technically, ‘alien’ can be used t’ mean somethin’ strange or unfamiliar; foreign, y’ know? It’s also used for folks from different countries in some places, rather than jus’ other planets entirely. I mean, I can see why it might have an exclusive meanin’ once folks became space-farin’ but…” Halting herself, she shakes her head away from the  minor ramble, and sighs. “Well, never mind that. An’ well– I’m not rich here, so that’s gonna take some gettin’ used t’. I’ve always had plenty’a money back home. But…”           Well, Kagura’s question raises some questions in return.            “Is anythin’ but rice an’ eggs real expensive where you’re from? Cause I mean…” She’s never been that lacking in money, but she knows people have been– and it’s never a good thing. “Well– it shouldn’t be a problem t’ feed ya, if we’re careful, but we gotta mind our spendin’. Never know when y’ might need t’ buy or replace somethin’ important.” 

“Really...? Then, what will you call people from other planets, yes?”

Kagura’s bangs fall to the side as she tilts her head, staring at her master with an expression of curiosity. The idea that Ari’s ‘world’ was different from hers seemed to not have crossed her mind before, and the young girl’s cheeks puff up as she thinks of the possibilities...

Though, Ari’s next question pulls her attention away.

“Um... Not more than usual, yes? But, Gin-chan spends all our money on gambling and girls, and never pays our salary, so we have to budget!”

She says that with a huff, as if agitated, but her eyes sparkle with a sort of fondness. Her eyes soften, and she turns her gaze to look at her feet--

“He is a useless adult... But, he is our useless adult, so we have to take proper care of him.”

The next part is barely audible, just a whisper Kagura says to herself.

“I need to... hurry up and find him. Him, Shinpachi and Sadaharu...”

Ari’s hand is placed on Kagura’s shoulder, and the warmth of it causes the girl lean back into it slightly, seeking the companionship of her master without even thinking.

“They rarely make their presence known, only speaking in vague details. But when they do, it always is to start a new chain of events. As if this was all part of a grand experiment.”

She’s not amused by whoever is doing this. She has a weakness to heat and the sun, alright? Plus...

.♔° The thought of Edo– his home planet having been reduced to ruin honestly left a bad taste in his mouth. But Sougo wasn’t one for dark thoughts, especially not when his first little rival happened to be around. So she came here too…? 

A figure that he’d never forget…. and in a land where he wasn’t bound by the rules of his profession. That could only mean one thing! 

Confrontation. 

Is what Kagura had said, about fifteen minutes ago, when she had cheerfully pushed open the door of their shared apartment and headed out.

It was lunchtime, you see, but her master had opened the fridge to discover that the gluttonous Kagura had already guzzled down all of the fruit juice, milk and soda. And you can’t have lunch without a sweet drink, so the girl had been given an errand.

And she was definitely going to complete it. She’s been to the shop, she’s got a bag full of drinks, she just has to head home.

A sword stops her in her steps.

The young girl stiffens, gritting her teeth together. She pulls the bag closer to her body. 

A servant...? She doesn’t have time for a fight. Her master will surely lecture her, the drinks will get warm, and lunch will get cold--

Then the assailant speaks, and her expression shifts to a bored one.

“Oh.”

"It is you. And here I was, hoping that I was finally in a world where I would not have to see your ugly face, uh-huh...”

Kagura turns her head dismissively. Even though there’s a part of her that’s glad to see her longtime rival standing in front of her-- she’d have been disappointed if something like ‘the end of the world’ could have killed him-- nothing in her body language shows it. 

Rather, she looks the exact opposite, as if she’s completely and utterly uninterested in his presence. Between beating up Okita, and a warm homemade meal, the food orientated girl does not have to even hesitate to pick which she would prefer.

“Thief? Rather, I am doing this food a favour… To be eaten by someone as dirty as you, or eaten by a Queen of pure heart…”

More is shovelled into her mouth. At this point, any normal human would be slowing down, but neither Kagura nor Bakugou show any sign of it.

“Eh… I see… So, actually, you are worried that if I know your name, you would not be able to beat me…”

Snicker. She puts a hand to her mouth, (badly) hides a smirk. 

“Understandable… Any advantage against me is needed for you, yes?”

This little bitch! She’s so full of herself! Bakugou was the same, and there was no way he was going to lose to her. There was no slowing down in this race. Bakugou went inside the restaurant, which happened to have an all-you-can-eat buffet.

“If I shut my mouth, I would not be able to eat, yes? Are you waving a pair of white underwear, yes? Should I order escargot--?”

How ironic, that the next meal contains peeled almonds...
