Almost every woman I have ever met has a secret belief that she is just on the edge of madness, that there is some deep, crazy part within her, that she must be on guard constantly against ‘losing control’—of her temper, of her appetite, of her sexuality, of her feelings, of her ambition, of her secret fantasies, of her mind.

Is it polite yet to admit that you’re actually quite terrified of birthing soldiers for the coming water wars when someone asks you when you’re going to get serious about starting a family?

The very same people who sing songs of devotion to a god whose best idea was to create a spiritual system that requires him to murder his own son to save a select segment of humanity from being eternally tortured by himself, are the same people who support pastors and a President whose best ideas are to abuse, deceive, lie, cheat, bully, sin, discriminate, murder, and steal in order to usher in their “Kingdom” and “Make (their) America Great.”
