First few listens verdict has been that it's consistently really good, but nothing has exploded in my mind like some of her past songs. This one is creeping in, though...

The little grocery store around the corner from my house plays the most bonkers variety of music. I always have Shazam at the ready so I can catch stuff like this.

The first Simple Minds album is all but forgotten, and not for bad reasons. It was a band still finding a sound different than just aping their idols (Bowie & Reed in this case). But it's still a really good album. Their commitment to mixing the angular with the technically impressive is there, and even if the sound isn't a unique one, it's still worth your listen.

Adding Tracyanne Campbell to an already-lovely song is almost too potent. But I'll gladly overdose on this.

You ever have those songs that you think that surely everyone in the world knows and then it occurs to you that, in fact, MOST people don't know it?

I am never not blown away by this song.

In the increasingly-challenging game called Is This From The 90s Or Brand New And Just Sounds Like It's From The 90s, I got this one wrong when I first heard it.

Given the hands involved, no surprise that it's guitar forward, but as an added bonus, it's also a great song. Lucky us.

Absolutely zero of Andrew Lloyd Webber has ever grabbed me up to recenty. But that melody of Yvonne Elliman's main part is spectacular. Maybe it's just Yvonne Elliman's voice? Let's say yes.

I can't think of another artist whose songs I don't particularly like, but whose production I adore.
