Okay Iâve officially dumped my requests and Iâm taking album related requests only at the moment! If you have them, send them. â¤ď¸
Hey so Honeydew is literally dad! Tucker talking to his kid. Thatâs all.
Might toss out most of my requests and start over tbh. Theyâre overwhelming me and some of them I honestly donât know what to write. đŤŠ
I feel like thatâs the only way out of the writers block hell Iâm in.
RIP in advance to the requests about to die in my inbox.

Winnie
Dad!Tucker takes his daughter Winnie fishing (Or tries to).
âDaddy, I donât think thereâs any fish in there.â
The declaration came about forty five seconds after Tucker cast his line in the pond.
His five year old stands next to him on the bank, her hands planted firmly on the hips of her tiny denim overallsâ the one with a big pocket on the front for rock collecting, and her bright pink rain boots.
Winnie, his little spitfire, looks utterly unimpressed with her glance out over the water.
âI know thereâs fish in there.â Tucker argues with a scoff. This is his life now. Arguing with a four year old. Itâs weirdly all heâs ever wanted.
âHow do you know?â She asks skeptically, turning those bright hazel eyes of hers, his eyes, up at him.
âBecause I put them there.â
âYou put them there?â She looks even more disbelieving now, her brows raising and furrowing like she canât quite pick which expression she wants. Her incredulity and confusion at odds with each other.
âI paid money to have fish put in the pond.â He answers in a soft fond sigh, already placing his rod in a holder on the edge of the dock because her curiosity has surely scared off any fish in a twenty foot radius.
Winnie considers his words for a moment, looking back out over the water.
âDaddy⌠thatâs cheating.â She declares with a shrug of her small shoulders, one of her hands slipping from her hip to wave it in the open air in front of them.
âWhat? Thatâs notâ itâs not cheating.â Tucker scoffs, catching himself playfully bristling at her insistence. âItâs good for the earth. It helps the wildlifeââ He glances down at her, stopping himself before he starts explaining ecosystems to someone who canât even tie her shoes yet.
âThis is boring. Fishing is boring.â Winnie huffs her declaration and slumps back into her folding chair.
âItâs not boring. Itâs about learning how to be still, how to have patience.â
âWhat even is âpay-tentsâ?â
âNot pay-tents. Patience.â He stifles a laugh at her curiosity. She definitely got his patienceâ or lack there of. âItâs when you wait for something without getting upset about it.â
âWhy do I need to learn that?â She asks, the innocence of her question masking the bluntness sheâd also inherited from him.
âBecauseâŚâ He pauses, trying to come up with something better than âbecause I said soâ. âBecause good things are always worth waiting for, Wins.â
Winnie contemplates this for a few seconds, her lips pursing in deep, deep thought. Tucker takes a few steps back from the bank and slumps into his folding chairâ a much bigger one, placed right next to hers.
âLike when you had to wait for me?â She finally asks with that tone that never fails to crack his chest wide open. He stiffens in his seat, shifting to make himself more comfortable. It never ceases to amaze him how profound some of her thoughts are without even meaning to be.
âYeah, baby. Exactly like that.â He answers, a soft breath leaving him thatâs amused but mostly impressed at her emotional awareness.
Heâs explained to her over the last year or so in kid terms how she came to be. How surrogacy works, how a very kind lady grew Winnie in her belly for him.
It wasnât a decision he made lightly, and heâs neverâ not for a single second, regretted it. By the time he decided to go through with it, his entire chest ached with longing to hold something thatâs his.
âWas it scary? Or was it boring like fishing?â
Heâs taken back in time by the question. Taken back to the long nights spent staring at the ceiling in his bedroom, wondering if he was making the biggest mistake of his life. Worrying that his life is too busy. Worrying that he wouldnât be enough. Hoping and praying to something he only halfway believes in that she would be happy and healthy.
âIt was a little scary, yeah.â He answers with a soft nod, his hands kneading against his wader covered knees. Winnie waits. Sheâs used to her daddy taking his time before saying whatâs on his mind.
âBut,â He adds, because obviously he canât just leave it there. âAll of that scariness⌠all of it went away the second that I saw you.â
âWhen you were holdinâ me?â She asks in return, a tiny dimpled grin forming on her cheeks from the story sheâs been told a million times by her nana.
âYeah baby, when I was holding you.â He confirms, laughing as he nods his head. He looks out over the calm water, his mind replaying the nurses having to practically pry Winnie from his arms the whole day she was born.
She was perfect (and still is). Tiny, pink faced and fragile. The memory is fresh in his mind like it was yesterday and not almost five years ago. Her wide, teary eyes staring up at him like he held all the answers.
In that moment every doubt he had dissipated. He swore then and thereâ in that stiff hospital chairâ that everything he did from that moment on would be for her.
Everything. Every show, every trip, every single decision heâs made since that first day when she was small enough to fit in the crook of his elbow has been with her as his first priority.
Just as he's about to say something, his rod jerks in the metal rod holder. The line pulls tight.
"Daddy!" Winnie shrieks, scrambling off her chair. "Daddy, you got one!"
He reels it inâa small bass, nothing trophy-worthyâbut she's bouncing on her heels, clapping her hands, the rocks sheâd collected earlier clacking in her front pocket. He laughs, unhooks the fish and holds it up for her to see.
"Look, Wins. Patience paid off."
She wrinkles her nose. "It's kinda ugly⌠and it smells.â
He sets the fish back in the water and watches it swim away. Then he looks at his daughterâ his perfect, impossible, worth-waiting-for daughter and feels that familiar ache in his chest.
"You know what else is beautiful?" he asks.
She looks up at him, skeptical. "What?"
He taps her nose. "You."
She scrunches it. "Daddy."
"You're also kind of smelly," he adds, grinning. "You definitely got that from me."
She shoves at his leg, laughing. "I am not!"
"You are so. One hundred percent stinky."
"Daddy!"
He scoops her up and tosses her over his shoulder, her giggles echoing across the pond. She beats her tiny fists against his back, but she's laughing too hard to put up a real fight.
He carries her back toward the house, her weight familiar and right.
He waited for her. He'd wait on her forever if he had to.
âI love you, Wins.â He tells her, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her head while he walks carefully, trying not to trip over his heavy boots.
âLove you too, daddy⌠but Iâm still not stinky.â She mumbles, already sleepy as she nuzzles her nose against his shoulder with a crooked little grin.

angst!!!! wc: 1, 225 words!
The day you met is the day your life would begin to be flipped on its axis. You were nursing a drink, standing awkwardly by the bar. Youâd been invited to a Spotify party for new rising artists, you knew no one there, which is why you were just standing around. Until you noticed someone doing the exact same thing, but near the other edge of the bar.
He was tall, a bit lanky, had brown hair, he was wearing a leather jacket, a white button-up under, and black jeans. You hadnât realized you were staring till he started walking over to you. For the rest of the party, the two of you talked about everything and nothing at once. The two of you had so much in common, a love for music, a longing for home, and a sense of humor.
After that, you became friends, wanting to take it slow. Relationships had never really been your strong suit, so you were nervous, but for once, you were genuinely excited.
When you did eventually start dating, it was like the stars had aligned. Love had never come to you this easily. Whether it was dates at your favorite restaurants or tickets to your favorite artists, you never had to doubt that he loved you. It was so kismet. It felt like old wounds were finally starting to scab over. You felt it in your soul that he was your soulmate. Then, when you had fears that youâd never be able to love anyone else, you didnât feel like you had to worry because in your mind, you and Tucker were in it for the long run.
For a while you were. For over a year, you were both out of your mind in love. It was like a perpetual honeymoon phase, moving in together, meeting each other's family, planning your future together, and then he started pulling away. Youâd have moments where you could feel an argument brewing, and instead of him facing the problem, heâd make up an excuse about âneeding some airâ. Or ones where youâd practically be begging him to take you on trips and dates like he used to. You learned to accept it, forgive the behavior, and be cool about it. You kept hearing from everyone that âYou shouldnât let good love slip awayâ, so you werenât going to.
It didnât matter to you that you didnât feel like you were good enough. What mattered was not losing him, and if you had to beg him to take you out, you were willing to do that. And maybe this was just a rough patch. At least that's what you told yourself.
The final straw eventually came. The night started like most date nights with you started now, with a strained smile from Tucker and a tense silence in the car ride there, but there was a slight shift in it. A different finality. He held the door open for you, called you beautiful the entire night, it was like he was playing a part. A part he was almost done playing. But what taunted you the entire night was his stupid strained smile. It was so obviously forced that it was hurtful. He didnât want to be there. And finally, you had enough of it.
When you finally got home, you blurted it out before he could even turn on the lights, âI canât keep doing this, Tucker.â He turned to look at you, closing the door before asking, âCanât keep doing what?â His voice was intentionally calm, stable. âDonât. Donât do that, Tucker. Donât act like you donât know exactly what Iâm talking about. I canât keep begging you to care about me.â You tried keeping your voice stable, but the quiver in it was undeniable. âLook, youâre tired, baby. Câmon, letâs just go to bed, and we can-â you cut him off promptly. âNo! No, weâre talking about this right now. For months, I have been okay with this! I have forgiven you for missed dates or forgotten conversations because I was scared to lose you! But, god, you canât keep treating me like this! I have needs, I need to feel cherished and loved, and Tucker, you are not making me feel either. Hell, you donât even argue with me either!â Your face felt hot as tears streamed down your cheeks. âDo you even still love me? Still care about me? About us?â
His expression was one of pure agony, âPlease donât ask me that, baby. Of course, I do. You know I do, I just⌠I donât know how to make you happy. How to fix⌠us.â A choked sob left your mouth as he said that. This was it. You had known it was coming, but you didnât expect it to hurt so much. âCâmere, please.â He opened his arms and you quickly clung close. âIâm so sorry, baby. I just canât be what you need. You deserve so much better. So much.â He pressed a kiss to your hair as you sobbed into his chest. âThis is for the best. You have to believe me, baby. Please believe me.â You shook your head against his chest. You wanted to be mad, create the angry conflict that he feared, but all you could do was let your heart break. âYou have to know that it was never you. You were never the issue. I always loved you. I still love you. Itâs me. Iâm a piece of work and I shouldâve fixed my shit before I brought you in.â His words were mumbled against your hair.
The two of you stayed like for hours. You didnât want to let go, because you knew that when you did, itâd be the end. Eventually, he walked you to the couch, laid you down, covered you with a blanket, pressed a kiss to your forehead, and walked out.
Itâs been six months since you guys broke up. Youâre doing okay, youâre currently in the midst of a new album rollout, and your first single for the album is a song called âbeggedâ, the lyrics are about having to beg for a sign of love, about not wanting to let the person you love slip away. You wrote it almost immediately after the break-up. Itâs surprisingly cathartic. And when it does drop, it drops to overwhelming success. Itâs a hit. People love it. They relate to it, they know what itâs like to be in your shoes. You get support from a bunch of different people around you, fellow artists, friends, family, but it does garner some negative press for Tucker. Itâs obvious the songâs about him, and people like to speculate further. You quickly shut it down, posting a story saying, âplease donât believe everything you read about someone elseâs relationship!! thank you!!â.
Then, a couple of days after the release, you get a message from a number you never thought youâd see again.
+1 (316) 348-4313: itâs a really good song, baby. congratulations.

reader x mechanic!tuck/chuck current thoughs:
one of your friends is getting married to one of his next year
you're chronically single - too many first and second dates with people who clearly aren't worth your time, plus the occasional couple months with someone who seems great but then turns out to be awful, or just ghosts you out of nowhere
and he's chronically single - too many first and second dates that seem to go well, but then they either tell him they're not interested or just ghost him. he has a knack for saying the completely wrong thing, or missing the cues where he's supposed to say something at all. he comes off too needy for the girls who want something casual, and too casual for the girls who want something serious
your friends are absolutely disgustingly in love with each other and the upcoming wedding is sending them into overdrive. when they put together that you and he will both be coming alone, they're determined to set you up.
on a blind date. that they don't tell you is a date.
as in, the groom invites tuck out, and the bride invites you, and then you're the only two who show up. surprise!
Iâm gonna be thinking about this for the rest of the night.
Update: my life is currently â¨falling apart⨠so writing has been temporarily put on the back burner.
I wish I were kidding. Iâm not. :(
Tatted up.
You guys, mechanic Tuck might be getting an OC pairing soon. I love you guys but Iâm honestly sick of only writing x reader. Itâs killing my motivation lately.
