Just bringing this back because I’m having lots of Tom as “The First Jedi” thoughts.

What

I’m kicking around the idea that he was taught by a matriarchal society who used the Force to keep their planet alive (as in like to grow food) and he has to end up using the Force to destroy something and then he has to decide about the whole Light vs. Dark side.

What eventually turns into a light saber was actually a tool used for agrarian purposes. It wasn’t meant to be a weapon. He was taught to be very careful with it, but he causes the death of an animal one day with it - or something similar that starts to make him understand how intent and handling of the same object can cause a positive or a negative result. Or both simultaneously. *dundunduuuuunnn*
