TS4 BACC

The long awaited update! And I hope I can get the next one out earlier! I'll have the spreadsheet up right away but the text on the page I'll do tomorrow! This is all done with the help of the BACC discord! So thank you for helping! Let's start with:

Extra update for older packs

For Rent (FR) New option to unlock the Detective career -Unlock townies AND -Have at least three sims with the evil trait in your town or Have at least ten households or Complete the Seeker of Secrets Aspiration Nifty Knitting (NK) New rule for Plopsy - Have a retail shop or thrift store and 2 worlds unlocks

Crystal Creations (CC)

Mystical Moonlight Charging Grid - Have a Spellcaster be the first to buy and use it or use it while completing the Crystal Crafter aspiration and after that it's fully unlocked New option to unlock the Scientist career -Unlock Townies AND -Reach Level 10 in the Fishing Skill or Complete one of the collections (this requirement is fulfilled when the game considers a collection to be complete; so there is no need to collect additional EP/GP items in the list that aren’t included in the “official” count) or Reach level 10 in the Gemology skill

Lovestruck (L)

Cupid corner app - Can be used after you unlock Townies, Services and 3 worlds. Love hotel - Have Ciudad Enamorada unlocked Attractions are similar to Like and Dislikes. It can be chosen freely Ciudad Enamorada can only be used as the third world or later. It can't de the starting world second world! Otherwise it will be a default world. Romance consultant - Level 10 Romance and the sim taking it must have the Love Bug trait

Life and Death (LD)

Occult sim Ghost is now moved away from the "can't be made in cas" section Favor can only be done when townies are unlocked and by sims living in Ravenwood Give Tarot card Reading have Ravenwood or Glimmerbrook unlocked Inheritance and wills - Have someone in the Law career AND have 4 Elder Sim pass away Wishing well (also for Romantic Garden) to use it Complete the Ghost Historian aspiration or the sim that uses it has Level 5 Gardening and Level 5 Logic. Once used it's unlocked for all. Reaper - be BFF with Grim and have unlocked 2 worlds Undertaker - Level 5 thanatology and cemetery unlocked Ravenwood - Is a special world. You can unlock with a rebirth. Cemetery - A active Sim in the BACC gets a golden Funeral

As for a normal explanation about the BACC: BACC stands for Build A City Challenge. And that's exactly what the goal is. Building up a city starting with (almost) nothing. To unlock new things you need to complete something first. For example: you start off-the-grid and to unlock electricity you need to have a sim max their handiness. Do you want to build a park? You need 3 Families living in your world and have a sim max the Gardening skill. You can do this playing in one family legacy style or in multiple families rotational style. There are a lot of variations to play, change up rules to suit your personal style and it's overall a different way to play. Sims is a sandbox game and I like to think of this challenge making it more of a progression game. Reach a goal to gain access to more of the game but that's my personal opinion.

But I would say just 1 CAS point for the mom. I understand the pain of baby/infant/toddler caring pain haha. Just make sure that what ever they got in skills or aspiration is reasonable to include in the BACC progress. Best to use your judgment on that matter. Hope that this helps and I wasn't too late with responding.

I am planning on updating it. I just haven't played in a while (due to personal circumstances) and need to check the new additions to the game to see what needs to be added and/or change. I estimate it being done and out before the end of November. Sorry for the delay!

This update has taken awhile to get out, I've explained why earlier. But here we are! It's for 2 expansions and a stuff pack!

Horse Ranch (HR)

Chestnut Ridge can be used as a starting world but then the second world is unlocked once you’ve completed the Championship Rider Aspiration. Otherwise it will be a default world and if you want to unlock it later it will depend how many worlds you have unlocked. See the new world section in this part of the rules.

Horse competitions is unlocked with Chestnut Ridge and Townies

New option to unlock the Bar -Have at least ten sims aged teen and above living in your town AND -Reach the top of the mixologist career branch or Completed Expert Nectar Maker Aspiration

For Rent (FR)

Tomarang can only be unlocked as the third world or later. It can’t be the starting or second world! Otherwise it will be a default world.

And because of this San Myshuno can only be unlocked as the forth world or later.

Residential rental - May be used after unlocking the third world. Handyperson - Level 10 Handiness Skill

Home Chef Hustle (HCH)

New option to unlock the Restaurant -Level 10 Culinary - Chef Career or Level 10 three cooking-related Skills or Completed Appliance Wiz aspiration

For a short answer: No! The special unlock is enough to unlock the world.

For the longer answer: Before you unlock the special worlds you should have at least have opened up the 2nd world. Be it the normal way, 4 community lots, or your starting world separate rules for unlocking the 2nd. Then you can pick one of the default worlds for the 2nd and use the special unlocks to directly open up those. Example: I picked Sulani as starting world. I haven't done the unlocks for the second world yet (level 10 in the conservationist career, the island has been restored to its full glory and baby sea turtles have hatched) But I did have an Alien abduction resulting in pregnancy so I should have Strangerville unlocked. But due to not having unlocked my 2nd world I can't use it yet. So once I unlock the 2nd world I can pick a default world and use Strangerville as well.

This has been in the ask box for awhile now and I have responded privately already but I also wanted to post the answer for the others that might have the same question! So here we go! In the rules it says: If you decide to play ‚legacy style‘, i.e. only one family, the founder/heir or another family member must meet the individual requirements listed below unless otherwise stated. In that case, the perk stays unlocked even after the ‘unlockee’ dies. Other families (both “townies”, once unlocked, and families moved in by gaining CAS points) can be interacted with and moved into the legacy household, for example as spouses. Once they moved in they can contribute to unlocking things, but previously gained skills etc. don’t count.

This means you can move in more sims in the world with the cas-points but they only "unlock" things once they have moved into the legacy household. Anything they got before moving in doesn't count. So only if they are in the active household. BUT! It would be you're BACC so please play and move rules around as you see fit! For example: If you play multiple households in a legacy family I would say it would work as well. You have to see it as only actively played can unlock stuff. But if they are just in the world as a new number to the worlds population or to be a spouse of a spare on a different lot you don't work on, then it shouldn't count. Or you can play one household in legacy style and then switch to a new household when/if you get bored of the one you have been playing with and make that the active household. As stated earlier, feel free to change it up in how you see fit! It's always lovely to see how others find solutions and if you'd like I can even add stuff to the BACC page!

This was sort of a summery of the private answer I gave way earlier. But I hope it helped and will help others now in the future!

Yeah it might take a little. I'll be on vacation and want to play a little of the pack to see how and what. But for now I think you should look at cottage living. I think the world will be a normal start but the second world unlock might be a aspiration from the pack. The rest I haven't even looked at... sorry! But if you have ideas or if anyone else has ideas please share them:)
