In partnership with the Trust Your Struggle Collective and GalerĂa De La Raza, Studio Grand is pleased to present When She Rises, an exhibit dedicated to the resilience of women. Artists Cece Carpio, Nisha Sembi, and Erin Yoshi have come together to elevate the stories of women who have endured violent and oppressive acts while showing the power and resilience of these women. The artists will be examining the experience of women in their countries of origin - the Philippines, India, and Japan. We are extremely grateful to the Akonadi Foundation’s Beloved Community Fund for supporting this exhibit and the events associated with it. We are also grateful for the partnership with the project’s fiscal sponsor, GalerĂa De La Raza, and to the work and purpose of the Trust Your Struggle Collective. Join us for the opening reception.
