When she started running, she said to herself “The Seventh! Kawaki!”, BUT (!) let’s be honest with ourselves, if Naruto fought alone against Jigen, and Kawaki hadn’t been there, Sarada wouldn’t have rushed over there. Naruto can take care of herself, Naruto doesn’t need help (especially from genin), and Sarada know about it. Naruto is the idol for Sarada, and I’m sure she will be ready to protect him if it is really needed, BUT (!)this is not necessary. Sarada not ran to protect Naruto when he fought ONE against Momoshiki and Kinshiki during the Chuunin exam, right? She knew that for her it’s dangerous out there, and that Naruto didn’t need help. Well, it’s pretty obvious that this time, she runs headlong on the battlefield not for Naruto, it’s because of Kawaki. Once he was seriously injured in a battle against Delta and there’s no guarantee he won’t get hurt this time. She runs there to protect Kawaki. She doesn’t know if she can do it really, but she can’t just sit back and and wait for someone to try to hurt him. If she can help him in any way, she’ll be there for him.
This does not mean that her presence there will greatly help Kawaki, or that it will not make the situation worse at all, but AT THIS MOMENT her MOTIVES are important, not the result.
