this is interesting because this was one of my earlier ideas for the ending of ltye. and i know nothing will ever match roso, but i truly do believe mari's death/murder is something he'd never heal from. he'd never be the same. he lost her and his unborn child. especially if he never got the chance to tell her he loved her? that he was happy about the pregnancy but was just too scared to admit as such? her dying thinking he didn't love or want her....yeah, that'd def turn him into an even colder, stoic sob.

i sort of, kind of, wrote a short about something similar with roso in a parallel universe. with roman and mari, he'd forever be wrecked with guilt. over the loss of the baby but also the loss of mari, because i believe that would completely change her. she'd no longer be that goofy, bubbly person. she'd be quiet, closed off. depressed for sure. would eventually regain some of her back, but i'd never be the same. i also could see roman divorcing her. not because he doesn't want her. but because he doesn't want to hurt her anymore. 😕
