~ I dropped inner-city homecare (which I loved) & now work full-time at a hospital bouncing between Surgical ICU & Neuro/Stroke floor

~ I fucking hate the hospital & hate watching people die all the time, fml

~ I published my 300k word fanfic into two physical books and sold a bunch ❤️!! Still writing A LOT OF [problematic asdfgh] FANFIC

~ I was made to gain weight which sucks ASS but at least most of my hair has grown back… so I am no longer balding lol…

~ I’ve become completely numb to the horrors of the human body & humankind in general lol literally nothing disturbs me anymore (except upper GI bleeds, ask your hospital nurse friends why)

~ a patient grabbed me and shoved me to the floor so hard that it seriously fucked up my pelvis…

~ had to get a lawyer to fend off workers comp cruelty; am now living with fucked bilateral sacroiliac hypermobility in my pelvis but working full-time anyway bc eternal slave to capitalism; PT helps~!!!

~still with my partner of 15 years, who is (hilariously for me) a psychologist asdfhjkl

~ I went back to my hometown in Japan last year, yeeee~!!!!! ❤️

~I adopted a piggie named Yelena and renamed her Crouton but still call her Yelena when I scold her (which is often bc she’s mean to her boyfriend Nigel)

~ someone in my city found a guinea pig abandoned in a dirt lot and I took her ;O; her name is Queenie… she JUST got spayed bc she has ovarian cysts so I’ll currently fattening her up

~ currently still obsessed with Boku no Hero Academia but have found new love for Naruto & Attack on Titan

the pandemic really fucked me up tbh, I worked at one hospital mainly doing spinal cord injury dermatome testing and severe burns & traumatic brain injury rehab, but got shoved in working w c0vid patients who were dying all the time, it was horrible

still was a demand for homecare though which was fun!! was working in some of the poorest zip codes in the country doing quite a few spinal cord injury gunshot wound patients, strokes & traumatic ortho injuries from accidents. certainly had my share of scary moments but it was much more rewarding and less depressing than anything I do in the hospital, both then & nowadays ._.;; compassion fatigue is a bitch ughhh

left is Queenie (age ?), very recently adopted from a lady who found her on the street; she’s very polite (even when I call her Queenie the Baltimore Sewer Rat)

middle is Nigel (age 6), my old fat man who is literally the sweetest pig I’ve ever owned, thinks everyone is his friend even if they’re mean to him

right is Crouton (age 3.5), adopted from a rescue, she’s tiny and cute but SO BOSSY AND ANGRY (the rescue literally named her Yelena bc she yells constantly, she wheeks SO loud!!!)

like sweetie, I don’t want to hurt your feelings but you’re balding & way too bony, it ain’t a good look 😭

she’s put on quite a bit since her surgery though, I’m very proud~

I had to put Numchucks to sleep last week. His back legs gave out and he couldn’t walk. Besides his legs, he was still doing his thing. Eating, drinking, wheeking. I’m grateful I didn’t have to see him sickly.

Before he was put to sleep, I got to give him a feast of fruits and veggies he was never allowed to eat at home because of his digestive issues. He sat there and ate for 15 minutes straight! The vet kept coming in to check up and she had to go back into her office because he refused to let up, heehee! Here he is enjoying his treats~

He had a great run. 8 years old! The oldest pig my vet has ever seen! He was my buddy and I miss him so much. He was high maintenance but it was always worth it.
