〝No I understand, we have normal exams too and studying has been a huge pain. Honestly the hero work is easier than academics for me haha. But hey! When we’re both done with exams we can hang out and celebrate!〞

“Then this makes two of us.”

She commented, letting a small sigh of relief escape her lips. His head motion didn’t escape her sight either, judging from the way she turned to face the stairs and eventually follow him; they had a train to catch, after all.

“Yeah, I don’t think it would be pleasant to have to wait for the next one. Even more when you have something urgent to do.”

“Hmm…It also makes people sleepy and lethargic sometimes, though. Especially when it has rained for several days in a row. It’s really hard to pick just one!! I’m into swimming, dancing, MMA and maybe volleyball from time to time!! Although, I’m in the Dancing club at my school. What about you?? You seem kinda studious, so are you by any chance into the Literature club??”

     “Huh, you are girl with many talents I see. That’s quite the list!” He blinked “Well, there is a literature club at the school I am at, but, I’m considered too cool join among their rank and file.” Just gonna leave out the bit of clubs being judgmental of his record. Y’know details. “Jokes aside, I got several I am in. Mathematics, Robotics, and I guess you could add being part of the school’s baseball team too!” He shrugs, this girl was quite the active individual.

The utterance is left unfinished but they can both easily fill in the blanks. Her magic unsettles him that he’d much rather stray from it’s crimson grasp and yet it makes her unique, it makes her, her, so he doesn’t bother touching that subject    .

“…Are you that scared?”

He’d gotten himself hurt…but not hurt enough to warrant being too worried. There was blood but it was manageable at the very least. He’d intervened in someone getting their purse stolen. The robber pulled a knife. Something he hadn’t really expected but should have. Call it a failure on his part to foresee what was really going on. The knife wound in his gut wasn’t the worst wound he’d ever suffered but it did hurt a great deal.

‘Guess it’s time to be the tough guy.’

He sighed heavily, rolling his head around his shoulders before forcing himself into a standing position. An attempt was made to hide the pain but it showed rather easily within his eyes, his fingers gripping her own hand tightly, having not let go despite the fact that it wasn’t really his…thing.
