I remembered today that I never posted these…

Finished another one of my WIPs 🎉 (yes, I did the first sketch for this one in February, too haha)

I wanted to draw @amus2110 Carina for so long, but drawing light skin and hair traditionally was a bit daunting at first, but I love a good challenge so I just had to do it.

I hope I did your girl justice. 🙆🏼‍♀️✨

Finally finished one of my WIPs that has been waiting in my sketchbook for way too long. (I did the first sketch in February lol)

I wanted to learn how to draw different MCs and started with @myokk's dear Eloise. I really hope I did her justice, but it's so fun to draw her, so I had to start with her. 🥹✨

I‘m happy I can answer these before Valentine’s Day is over (at least in my time zone (jokes on me, now that I‘m finished with this post it is not Valentine‘s Day anymore) 😆)

I‘m glad you will not be sending a dwarf dressed as Cupid to serenade me and I hope you don’t stress yourself with the gift you have planned. Take all the time you need. 💛✨

I don’t know why, but these questions took me so long to find answers to…

💌 I did not have a song that I associated with them before you asked me. I took a deep dive into my Spotify and this is what I came out with:

The titles are a bit on the nose (and it’s funny that they all have the same one), but all of them have a specific vibe that fits them so well.

And it does make sense for them, as they both have been looking out for a loving home since they were young.

💌 I don’t see Sebastian being the competitive type, at least in the version that I envision for him. (Don’t get me wrong, I love me a competitive Sebastian. It just doesn’t fit here.) When it comes to Quidditch, I think it’s just something he uses to blow off some steam. Nothing that he would take too serious, but he has fun playing it.

He would be happy for her team to win and he is always her biggest fan, even when they face each other off.

Kendra would definitely not be a sore loser if the others win. She is someone who sees clearly which team plays better and most of the time it’s not hers. She does get quite annoyed at her teammates for not taking it seriously enough as she tries her best to defend them trough the game.

They’re fair players and have a lot of fun on the pitch, because they are on a similar level when it comes to their talent.

💌 I love the idea so much of Sebastian borrowing something in return. I need to think a little longer about it, but this is what I can offer right now:

Yes, Kendra does „borrows“ his clothes. Most of the time it’s a jumper she sleeps in after a long day. (Which she probably will never return.)

I haven’t shared my process of this piece on here, but the jumper she wears here is obviously Sebastian’s.

Maybe he borrows her scarf sometimes or he switches their robes just for fun. („Green looks better on you anyways…“)

I don’t think there would be a lot of things for him to borrow in return (clothes wise at least), but it has definitely sparked a lot of ideas for me! 😆

I saw your niffler running down the stinky corridor. That’s where I lost track of him. I hope you do find him! 👀

The beginning of February has been… let’s just say quite a lot for me, but I have been enjoying the cold still. (I do wish to see a little bit more sun though. ☀️)

Tell your niffler that I would like my necklace back that he stole from my bedside table. I didn’t stop him, because he was such a sweet boy (and he could help me trace my way back to you…maybe it was because of that…who knows…)

💛 Kendra’s giving and receiving love languages are almost the same, but as she is a rather quiet persons she tends to show her love through physical touch more (holding someones hand when she sees they are nervous or pulling them into a tight hug)

💚 The way I see Sebastian is someone who shows a lot of his love through the things he does for the people in his life (as we can see how he literally drops everything to help his dying sister).

If Anne wasn’t cursed I think he would spent a lot more time with his friends and enjoying the quality time spent with each other.

And with physical touch I not only mean a good snog in the Undercroft, I mean more the reassuring touch of his partner, like stroking his hair while he’s falling asleep or the tight hug he needs when he’s feeling everything is falling apart.

💛💚 Their love languages are definitely a result of how they grew up. Kendra’s father has never been able to show her properly that he loved her and for Sebastian… I don‘t think I have to explain how Solomon shaped Sebastian’s way of loving.

I do realize I talked more about Sebastian, I can talk more about Kendra another time. (I just know this post will be too long otherwise haha)

2. Who fell in love first?

My first instinct was Sebastian, my second one was both, but Kendra was in denial for a long time.

It’s hard for a girl who didn’t really have friends growing up, to fear losing the first good one to a possible broken relationship.

I also love a yearning Sebastian a lot, maybe that’s why I want him to suffer for a bit in my headcanon. 😂

This is still a WIP, but that’s how I imagine him looking at her all trough fifth year + the first half of their sixth year.

3. What is something that they will do for the other because they know the other enjoys it?

💛 She reads to him when he needs to relax, him laying on her lap while she draws soothing circles in his hair.

💛 She lets him ramble (at breakfast especially) about any topic that he finds interesting at the moment, even when she has no clue what he’s talking about.

(Both haven’t had that many people in their life that actually listened to them.)

💛 She saves his favorite food at breakfast for him, because he’s late most of the time.

💚 He picks Kendra up from training and gets them both something from the kitchen while she takes a shower, so they can eat their dinner alone in the Undercroft.

(She gets overwhelmed with too many people around sometimes)

💚 Plus he lures her cats into the Undercroft, because he knows how much she wants them around in the evening. Kendra can fall asleep while he reads and they can enjoy some time alone together.

💚 He gets all of their friends to cheer for her every Quidditch match. He knows that even when she pretends she doesn’t like them screaming in the stands, she actually loves and appreciates him so much for his support.

❤️ I can’t choose a favorite color, because I do love all of them. When there is a chance to turn something into a rainbow, I take that chance.

But, I do have a few color combinations that I gravitate towards a lot of the time or that I like a little more than others!

For example:

The Green Goblin did have a killer combination with that purple and green outfit

All of Weasley Wizard Wheezes looks so freaking good (the whole reason why my office is inspired by it)

An earthy green combined with some other earthy tones is so lovely too!!

🧡 I‘m easy to please when it comes to food, but I do love a good (veggie) bolognese!

💛 Evening for sure.

I love how silent it is and that no one expects anything from me (myself included). I can’t wait for the days to get longer, and the sun not setting until 11 p.m. That’s the part I enjoyed the most last spring in the North.

💚 I love autumn and spring. It’s not too hot, and I love it when nature changes its colors.

💙 I actually had to think about what Holidays we even celebrate here haha.

When it’s a quiet and peaceful Christmas, then I would say that it’s my favorite holiday.

As a kid, I enjoyed carnival a lot, because I love a good reason to dress up (still do!). Halloween wasn’t that big of a thing here at the time. I would have enjoyed that even more, I think.

I hope you are well, too! I’m sorry it took me so long to answer these, but last week was busier than I expected.

And I would never tell Professor Weasley. My lips are sealed! 👀

💛 Sebastian’s favorite thing about Kendra is that she never loses hope. Not in a naive way by not seeing things clearly and pretending that everything will be fine, but by thinking things through, having trust in herself and others that everything will turn out okay.

She does accept when shit goes down, but she can still see a light in everything and everyone. Knowing there is always a way to fix things.

And after everything that life has thrown at her, Sebastian is always baffled that she has not turned sour.

💛 I haven’t given it too much thought, to be honest, because I don’t think there are any other canon HL characters that I can see her with.

Maybe Imelda? But maybe that’s me being flustered by her, because I do believe she was flirting with the MC after the third broom race haha.

I do have an OC ship with @pierrot-dokki s Elena. I still have a drawing of them I need to finish.

I think their dynamic would be gentle and kind. Something Kendra would be longing for.

2. How does she take her tea? And would she know if someone… definitely not me… had slipped a love potion in it?

3. If her special someone were to confess to her, how would they do so or how would she prefer them to, and if she were to confess first how would she go about it?

I’m glad you have returned! My Monday and the rest of the week were quite alright, but I hope yours has treated you well! 💛 (I swear I wrote all of this on Tuesday. How is it Friday already and why do I have only time to post this now??? I‘m so sorry!)

1. These outfits are her favorites.

It’s good for fighting, running errands in the highlands, and the small pouch on the leg is perfectly snack-sized.

And this cape is really nice, too!

2. To answer the easy question here: She takes her tea plain.

I have to admit, you sent me into a total rabbit hole and spiral this afternoon. Does a love potion have a specific smell? I know Armomentia smells like something you love if you smell it directly, right? But if Person A puts a love potion into Person B’s tea, does that mean Person B smells something they love, or do they smell Person A, because that's the person they are supposed to fall in love with?

Or does the love potion have a basic smell and just smells strongly of one of the ingredients? Just like some people could tell you that they have poison in their tea, because it smells specifically like something. (That is just based on movies I have watched. So please don’t take my word for it haha)

I can’t believe I have been rambling so long about this. To summarise: If it smelled like one of the ingredients, Kendra would definitely have no idea that you put something in her tea, because she absolutely sucks at potion-making.

3. Strap in for another yapping session…

This took me a while to think about, too. I don’t think I have a definite answer, but I have something in mind that feels natural to Kendra’s and (in this case) Sebastian’s relationship.

First and foremost, they start as friends, then become good friends, and so on…

Kendra didn’t have a lot of friends before she came to Hogwarts (and I don’t see her having that many in her fifth year either. Only in her sixth year does that start to change a little). In fact, she didn’t have a lot of people whom she could talk to or who listened to her when she was younger. I think that’s important to know, because I believe that makes it a lot harder for her to confess any feelings, especially romantic ones. So I don’t see her being the first to confess. (Even if I wish she would. Maybe later in life she gets better at it.)

As for her and Sebastian's relationship. I do see Sebastian trying to make hints more and more, when it has come to a point he can’t hold back his feelings anymore and is daring to risk their friendship over it. Maybe his letters get a little clearer from time to time, and even Kendra can’t lie to herself anymore that he is “definitely not in love with her”.

She would still try to downplay it and try not to get his hopes up, because she is too scared of risking it all. That would get to a point where Sebastian just couldn’t take her silence / downplaying it anymore, and we reach a full-on Jo and Laurie on the hill scene.

After that, it would take a little bit more time apart and a letter from her with her own confession, for them to finally take a step over that hill together.
