re: drive-thru bars
you know someone living in the vatican??? you may have to elaborate
Yeah a guy I went to middle school with went on to have a fairly successful but brief career as a professional Surfer and Skateboarder, then got really into Latin and the history of political conspiracies in Rome for the last 2000-odd years and now he's one of the world's foremost scholars in the preservation and restoration of ancient historical documents and early medieval art and the pope pays him money to preserve early church records and he gets to live in Vatican city.
I feel like it's important to note that Cam (not his real name) is 4'10" and still occasionally enters skating and surfing competitions.
We'd drifted apart but by a bizarre set of circumstances he ended up in a discord server with my sister when she was getting her graduate degree in Disaster Mitigation in Newcastle, and he recognized me from her regaling chat with my bullshit and demanded I be added to the group.
So now I'm in an International Chat Group with my sister, who is currently explaining to two of the Australians she went to school with that the reason THEY have never seen drive-thru liquor before is that they are respectively housebound from illness and agorophobic, so they don't really get around.

Me: I need stickers with a logo on them. I guess I could get them printed.
Me: or i could get a stamp made with the logo and stamp it on tag sale stickers myself.
Me: oh the logo is pretty simple, I can probably carve it into the rubber blocks that I've got.
Me: that rubber is pretty soft, though, the stamps won't hold up over time. I've been getting into woodcarving and have been thinking of getting into block printing fabric. What kind of wood is good for that?
Me: cherry is apparently good for that, and block printing fucking rules but I know my carving skills aren't up to that yet. I've got some pretty cool old metal stamping plates from my grandpa's shows, let me look up intaglio printing while I brainstorm designs.
Me (texting large bastard): where do you keep your sheet steel scrap and is it okay if I use your potassium perchlorate wash bin for an acid bath?
Me: oh right, I need stickers with a logo on them. I'll make a rubber stamp and use it until it breaks.
Probably too fine for the size but we'll see how this goes. Also i made this little box yesterday so I've got ready access to coins for scale and a contrasty background to take quick photos of pendants and such.
Okay apparently my ink pad is running dry but the stamp does work!
Working on the zine that will go with the jewelry.
The cover and the stamp are modeled on the photo I took of the owl last year.

Genuinely evil and dark-sided to put the periods between the letters in "milf" and "dilf." Like what is M.I.L.F. that is a supervillain organization composed entirely of cougars. Whoa that's a great idea actually post canceled hold on
