been talking about kishitaka to discoomfs lately and i've been thinking about how badly takara must furthermore resent him for saving her and not power...granted, he saves her in the nick of time in a situation i refuse to divulge into cause it #lowkey doesn't make any sense but thats neither here nor there <3
hates him for stepping in at the "last moment" in the first place; if he knew makima was control, knew she was planning something all this time but let it slide so long as she kept humanity's interests at heart even if denji's weren't, why the hell did he wait until she'd taken everything from him to finally do something? takara despises nuance, already hates the man for reminding her of her father in his drinking habits and aptitude for violence...in her eyes, he's no better than the other useless adults from their childhood who knew damn well what their dad behind closed doors and never did a thing to stop him.
and i just can't but think about how takara must consider his choice to save her knowing her being alive is what brings denji back to his senses. truly it speaks to just how much takara means to denji, how far he's come from pushing her away to being the one that initiates a hug with her at the safehouse. but i know takara, cynical takara who hates kishibe and chainsaw man and outliving her younger sister, would come away thinking that was what solidified kishibe's choice to save her. he needed denji to be csm to defeat makima, but he needed him to be denji to do so, and who else to bring back denji but her?
