+i also think about like the futility of rezeden running away with takara context because i’ve already posted before how in the end denji ends up relieved he didn’t run away with reze, knowing he’d be leaving taka behind (something he initially wrote off as being good for her, not having to worry about him all the time…;-;;) but considering reze’s own longing for takara in spite of her nature as a “killer” and takara’s own as a human, i think a happy ending with denji knowing she would have “taken” him from his family would eat her up inside. they’d both feel guilty even if they’d somehow managed to escape makima’s clutches and i wonder if they’d even feel they deserved to pursue that romance with each other knowing they’d left her behind, in psb no less…

underrated asayoru moment...considering the focused way asa's eyes close, this reads to me as her willingly let yoru take control (a nice callback to the "leave it to asa" moment from justice arc) and it makes sense...asa is entirely out of her element here. she thought saving denji/csm would be straightforward, but the second he woke up it just highlighted how little she knew about him&his situation (let alone him about hers, during this arc he's still under the impression that asa simply flip-flops between liking and disliking him, and even snaps at her at one point because of it.) yoru has been cordial to asa, seems to show a bit of rational thinking behind even her most twisted of actions in the past, of course she would rely on an older maternal figure to help resolve this situation. IMO it really is the only reason yoru bothered "helping" denji (initially, at least), because asa herself wanted to so badly despite doubting how helpful she'd be in this instance. it makes yoru later on blaming her for victimizing both of them hurt even harder, it's another breech of trust asa so gently put into yoru's hands, it's another example of yoru ultimately doing whatever she wants with asa's body regardless of asa's own wishes. i wonder if another reason asa seems so guilty about this moment is the initial choice to switch over to yoru here, if she feels it truly was her fault for what happens in the next few chapters from this one completely understandable choice...

i was searching for these because i was going to make a larger complaint about how asa IS able to stand her ground against denji&others quite a few times throughout the story (and how its truly only yoru she hesitates around or is often forced to submit against...) buttt i didn't wanna be negative about asa misconceptions today i just wanted to be positive about her characterization <3 asa ily and your convictions and sense of right&wrong <3
