honestly a lot of asayoruden discourse ignores the fact that asaden Are Not an explicitly romantic couple. like asa has her love confession essentially stolen by yoru (who still refuses to name the feeling as love, it's a "like", nor does she refer to denji as her boyfriend or herself as his girlfriend. just the "only woman he needs".) denji never confesses outright either they don't call each other boyfriend/girlfriend they are not a committed romance the way certain relationships like quanxicule&angelxhisgf are. i just think coming away with the reading that denji is like. this player boyfriend cheating on asa with yoru when they're BOTH victims of her and again, asa never gets the chance to tell denji her true romantic feelings that would solidify them as a proper couple, is the poorest reading you can have next to "asa actually needed yoru and consented to everything she did even when it caused her clear distress and all she needed to do was be honest with herself that way asayoruden could've been a throuple :((("
