My Treasure In A Field

American Christians aren't really in a place to tell missionaries what to do or how to do it except for the small fact that we are trained in schools and universities and are able to give some practical pointers and a new perspective to help the project.

I am constantly trying to get in on a good deal by offering up some money and/or prayers for missionaries I hear about and trying to get my name tagged onto diff group projects.

I constantly find my faith dwindling as I look around and wonder if I am doing life wrong. I keep having episodes of panic: should I build security and collect for myself? Am I a fool? Through my fear I say aloud,

I trust you, lord, and oh, how I am hopeful that I am right about you.

Please give me the earthly means to act on my convictions: bravery, money, time, connections. And give me strength and vision to keep wagering that you are real and that you are good. Keep coming through for me and being near me. Keep saving my people.
