Love you. . .

It’s been years, but I can’t help to ponder.

It’s an update nobody asked for.

My dad suffered from a severe case of Covid in 2021. It damaged his body horribly and honestly it was the scariest time for our family. I developed panic attacks, was out of work for months, but in hand, I had a spiritual awakening. I found peace outside of the Christian god. I found myself and when my dad came out of the hospital, he did too. It was much of a surprise, but comforting that we now shared similar ideals without any sort of conversation prior to admission. People aren’t ready to hear that he ‘doesn’t thank “God”’ that he’s alive, so it’s sort of our lil secret haha not literally tho.

My dad is alive today. He’s gotten a lung transplant and he’s grown stronger. Strong enough to walk me at my wedding. It was a magical day. Even with all the hiccups, it was so fun and happy.

I married a beautiful man, inside and out. He is kind and patience with me. He is everything I’ve needed. He helps make my dreams come true and one of them is owning a home. It’s humble, but I love it, because we can make it our own. He also helped me so much through my family’s traumatic time. He never left, he never stopped giving effort even though I know it was hard for him too, to see me such a mess. He’s helped me heal. He’s helped me grow and reflect on myself. He has helped me love myself better. I genuinely adore him. We’ve been together for 6 years and I’m so happy we’re officially married now, living in our house with our three cats.

I think life is going pretty good right now. Sometimes I’m afraid to jinx it. My love is about to be home. We’re probably gonna have dinner and play Minecraft lmao

I'm just so fortunate to have found somebody that chooses me consistently, that treats me as a priority, that makes me feel wanted.
