Nathaniel Stern - the three mile meal
I researched into Sterns work and found that it could be quite disconnected due to the connection with technology, in my opinion. But then i came across the three mile meal and found it fascinating. I especially enjoyed the concept of not trying to change or alter the community but to try and give us the tools to communicate and recognise our similarities with each other. I think using food is a powerful tool to connect us all because it is a necessity of life and can be so enjoyable.Â
âWeâre not all the same, but we all share the same curiosity about one another,â she said. âSo how do we learn to live with each other, and to communicate, without reducing everything we know about each other to a cultural common denominator?â
The Lack of information booths didnt really give the audience any more information on the event or the purpose of what was happening or even the bridging of communities and individuals, however this was precisely the point. to point out that we dont know enough about each other and therefore how can we judge and be judged.Â
