Tip for referring to trans people:
Generally, itâs best to avoid the MtF/FtM acronyms and the words that make them up (unless of course the trans person in question is 100% alright with it).
What you should instead be saying when referring to binary trans folks is trans man or trans woman (with variations like trans girl and trans boy).
You get the picture just the same, but instead of placing identifiers on what a trans person was determined at birth (which can cause dysphoria for many trans people), you focus instead on what they are.Â
What they were determined to be as a baby based on the look of their genitals is not important whatsoever. It does not need to be brought up when you are using language in order to refer to trans people.Â

[[ tfw Resident Life & Housing from your college tells you that you "scared off" your two new roommates by "revealing too much" in your introductory email. My familiar roommate and I just said we were trans and mentally ill in that email lmao. ]]

âI would like to think so, yes.â He says with a warm smile, his eyes scanning over the otherâs form curiously. âIt is a pleasure to meet you, Uzoma. Might I ask what you do for a living? Surely something interesting, for a character equally as charming.âÂ
âI am merely a hair stylist.â Modesty. The magic he was born into added much to his profession, though he was wary of who he spoke to in depth about that. âI work in Noxus, up in the northern part of the city-state. You, though--why do I know your name, Karthus? I cannot seem to recall.â

transvoodoo âDude..â Said the knight looking at his arms. âThose must come in handy when you need them. â He pointed at the extra set of arms. âTo be perfectly honest thatâs the coolest, yet weirdest thing Iâve seen in my travels.â His eye looked around the shop he stood in. Looking at the various potions and other things on the walls before the drifted back to the keeper. âI take it you get a lot of people in and out with these huh? Whatâs your specialty?â
âHandy, you say?â the stylist repeated, pointing out the pun in that remark with a small smirk. He digressed quickly though, as the knight continued to speak. âI am glad you think of me as âcoolâ. But yes, we do get quick a bit of business around âere--after all, you will not acquire potions like my own from many other places.â He smiled more fully then, in an effort to be more welcoming. âI specialize in hair care and styling, and my potions âelp with such things. Might you be interested?â
"Uzoma!" Edelweiss called out happily, rushing to the side of the multi-armed man, ignoring everyone else around them. "Is it really you?! It's been forever! What are you doing in Noxus? How have you been? Whoa, look at your arms!" Too much energy, as usual.
It was just after sunset, and Uzoma had been cleaning up his work station before he was suddenly accompanied by a petite and very energetic man speaking his name. Dark brown eyes blinked at the man, one hand lifting to move some of his fuchsia braids away from his eyes to view him better, though once he caught sight of his face, he recognized him immediately.Â
A bright smile bloomed on Uzomaâs scarred face immediately, and he dropped what heâd been holding onto his work table. âE-Edel!â he stuttered out of his own excitement, and quickly was he wrapping all four of his arms around his childhood friend. âSpirits⌠it âas been too long!â

edelwitch:
There were no complaints from the witch at being drawn into an embraceâ he eagerly returned it, though even his enthusiasm was no match for a second set of arms. âItâs so good to see you again!â His words were filled with mirth, and he drew back enough to get another look at this man from his past.
He had heard talk of another potion seller, one who worked here; in a hairsalon of all places. Curiousity had brought him to pay a visit, but never would he have suspected it to be Uzoma. âHow long has it been? Years, I know.. You look so different!â He squeezed one if the extra arms for emphasis. âI like it.â
âWe were just teenagers last we met, were we not?â Uzoma mused. A lot certainly had changed, and it wasnât just the stylistâs extra arms. He would have been surprised that Edel even recognized him after so many years, if it had not been for the telltale scarification on his face that no doubt gave him away.Â
The hand of the arm that Edel squeezed would move to take one of the witchâs hands, and he brought it up to examine the pitch black skin that ran up Edelâs forearms. âThis is definitely new, and interesting.â Uzoma was squinting slightly, well aware that it was the doing of some sort of magic, though he figured they could get into that a bit later, as his eyes lifted to look back up at his friendâs face. His smile had not faded whatsoever. âYour hair--it fits you well.â
"Ey anyone in here? "voice called out as short woman stepped into beauty store. Usually she did not had time to explore Noxus like this but now she had time, she was bit surprised to stumble across something like this. Still she was not the pretty girl type no short , slightly musculine and with tomboy hair her golden eyes looked around curiosly. "Hmm maybe they got somethin good for skin here..." (Also hello:>)
Uzoma stood himself up from where heâd been seated at the part of the building that functioned as a nail salon. He had some time to spare while his current customer left their hands under the fan for their nails to dry, and he would smile brightly as he approached the woman whoâd just walked in. âGreetings, and welcome to the Dusk and Dawn Salon.â His two sets of hands came to clasp in front of him. âMight I âelp you with something, miss? Perhaps some maintenance on your very well chosen hair style?â

wanderingoutlaw:
The extra pair of arms slightly caused her eyes to blink more the necessary, but then again compared to many other oddities in Valoran this was  pretty normal.Still she could not help but to grin sheepishly at compliment of her short hair.âHeh now ya are juust bein a sweettalk hun guessin its what keeps the customers here eh? â she asked while ruffling back of her hair. âTruth to be told IâŚ.have little knowledge of these kind of things so I guessâŚa tip on few things would be nice. Like skin care and whatnot â
âOh, it is not so much my silver tongue as much as my skill with hair styling that keeps my customers coming back,â Uzoma pointed out, and his smile would widen a bit with his words. He was certainly a confident man, especially when it came to his profession, which he truly loved. âSkin care though, hm...â He pondered the thought for a moment, eyes glancing over to his shelves of potions. âSadly we do not offer too much in the line of skin care... Just some of the lotions that we also use for our manicures and pedicures. I may also âave some makeup available that is much âealthier for your skin than others.â
hero-of-heights:
âYouâre so lucky! All I have is this,â she held up her mechanical hand. âIt doesnât help in the slightest. I would love to know about some new tricks. This is so cool, I wanna know different styles too.â
âAh, the technology from the cities is fascinating though,â Uzoma mentioned as he regarded the metal limb. âYou should come to my salon when I am working, if you wish for me to teach you. It is in Noxus, âowever...â
"What a pretty little thing you are."
âI know,â Uzoma agreed, and a lazy smile pulled at his lips as he looked towards the other being. He had a mind to be wary of such an intimidating entity, but at the same time he trusted his own magics to keep him protected well enough⌠however heâd been wrong before.Â
Truthfully, he was more focused on the mass of white hair that sprouted from behind that mask. âI do very much appreciate the compliment, âowever. Who is complimenting me, though?â
ketsugetsu:
A chuckle sounded when he heard their agreement. Itâs good to see people who are proud of who they are. Itâs refreshing.
âI am Thresh.â The Daimyo bowed politely, those red, spectral eyes not leaving the mortal, however. âA pleasure.â Rising back up, he stood comfortably. âAnd who might you be, hmm?â
Thresh. That was definitely a name heâd heard somewhere.
The bow was an unexpected gesture, though Uzoma followed suit in returning the motion; however, he would lower his head further than Thresh, just to show a little extra respect. âI am Uzoma,â he answered, and he would struggle slightly to hold the red gaze of the other being once he himself had straightened up. Thresh was intimidating, no doubt--with an air of darker magics about him. âI cannot say I âave seen a being such as yourself before. I âope it is not rude of me to ask exactly what you are...?â

10. My muse pulls your museâs hair
It wasnât a rough pull or tug at the young manâs hairâbut rather a brief tease of Uzomaâs fingers in stark white strands. He really wasnât respecting the manâs personal space, but that hair was just so shocking. âYou wouldnât âappen to style your hair yourself, would you? It makes quite a statement.â

shattering-time:
The sudden tugging at his hair caught Ekko off guard, a light âhngâ leaving his lips. At first, he turned to face the other with narrowed, angry eyes, expecting it to be one of the many children who liked to pester him. Upon seeing that it in fact wasnât a child, he swiftly changed his expression to twisted lips and a skeptical look.
âI.. yeah, I do it myself.â he mumbled, moving back just enough to get a full view of the person before him. âWhoâs askinâ?â
The stylistâs hand fell down to his side once the other man had turned to face him. He gave a small meek smile, realizing heâd overstepped his bounds a bit. âIt is impressive. I am Uzoma... and I apologize for invading your personal space there. It was uncalled for.â
He offered one of his four hands out for a handshake. âA more proper greeting would be nice, yes?â
O_O
âOh - Hiiii-â Calix reached out, siding over a towel to cover a bit, a little smirk on his lips as the other stared at him and all his pale self. âCan I help you, love~?â
transvoodooÂ
[[Iâm glad you sent something because I was trying to think of how to get Calix over there - maybe for his hair I dunno LOOL]]
âAh, apologies,â Uzoma murmured once he had tuned himself away from the other manâs form. He could feel a heat in his cheeks at the embarrassment of catching another person in such a state of nudity. He should know better than to knock when it came to the changing rooms at saunas--it certainly wasn't his first time at one.
