so, before this hellsite (beloved by me, nonetheless) goes under, i wanna gauge the want/need for something i’m gonna write a panel proposal for for the 2019 trans wellness conference: people who’ve undergone masculinizing GRS (so, metoidioplasty or phalloplasty—gonna be myself, maybe a friend, and up to two other people who are post-op) talking about life after bottom surgery, but not so much complications or the physical end of things—more of the emotional fallout, both good and the bad, and not just on what it might feel like to live with less/changed/even the same amount of dysphoria, but also post-surgical depression, trauma, the joy of fucking in a body you feel more anchored to, feeling unmoored/disconnected to pre-op folks, pulling away from “community”, coming closer to “community” after having the time and energy to help, navigating hookups, etc. etc.—is this something that there’s actually a need for?

overwhelming consensus seems to be that this would be useful to people! i’m gay and look hella white and my friend who is also gonna participate is white, so particularly looking for POC and folks who have sex with women.
