after like 3 months i FINALLY made a herrah design i like…..its VERY important to me that herrah serves cunt i need her dripped tf out in elegant silks and velvet its sooo important.. deepnest lost a baddie 💔

also smth about my redesigns here, weavers are basically like centaurs but. spider? flavored??? idk. btw herrah is looks more spider like compared to her ‘sisters’ which is sort of a nod to the fact that she doesnt look like a weaver at all in hk, and i wanted to make her a bit more distinct than the other weavers by giving her a bigger abdomen and.. her mane.. im realizing i didnt give her very many differences oops.

btw i didnt have enough room to draw it here but hornet is about eye level with herrahs hip. she is so fucking tiny and its all the pale kings fault ❤️

Your Hornet design is PHENOMENAL!!!! Absolutely in love. What inspired you the most woth her designs?

I have something similar, trying to go for a semi realistic approach. What exactly do you look to capture with her and the others' designs?

YAYY YAYYYYY THANK YOU IM GLAD U LIKE HER!!!! ive just been looking at other peoples designs and taking inspiration from pictures of irl spiders/insects lol im not really sure what im doing... ive been trying to make her more weaver like by giving her really pointed shoulders (like the ones first sinner has) but im trying not to make it too obvious (since in-game it seems like nobody knows shes a weaver unless they know what features too look for). honestly my design process is just me going "wow it would be so cool if (insert character here) had (insert character design here)”. like with hornet i was like “ wow spiders have fur and paws and tiny little claws i didnt know that 🤔 that would be so cute on hornet im gonna draw that!” and with the hollow knight it was more “hmm the pale king is a wyrm which is BASICALLY a dragon and i REALLY like dragons so im gonna draw PK and ALL OF HIS KIDS with dragon/lizards characteristics and its gonna be awesome for me in particular”

this is such a nothing burger doodle but i was thinking about hornet and getting emotional (as per usual) and i remembered her cute hunters journal entry for the pond skippers where shes like ‘i wish i could glide on water’ and the mental image of hornet silksong iceskating beamed into my head and it made me really happy so i drew it. i think she would enjoy it :)
