February 2006, when I decided something in my life needed to change. I was 16 years old and just got out of the hospital after being stabbed in the chest twice (Scar on the right side of my chest) I almost died several times between the ambulance and OR and I spent almost 2 weeks in the hospital. I knew I was lucky and given another chance so I pursued fitness as a way to build better me and joined Beat Personal Training. This path led me to meet people like @BeatTrainer @LauraPhelpsSweatt @RealMattWenning that literally changed my life forever. What I do today wouldn't be possible without their influences. 11 years later and I still love this fitness shit but now it's in the form of building the most badass equipment, powerlifting, and CrossFit. . There are 2 types of people out there... People that push forward despite their adversities; they decide not to be a bitch and use whatever hardships they faced as fuel to still go out accomplish their goals while SHOWING the people around them it's possible to bounce back and do bigger things. Then there's the other person, that "glorifies" their adversity to bring them attention and after they tell their story they post a link to a gofundme page and want people to feel sorry for them. . Bad things happens to EVERYBODY. People's houses burn down, they get cancer, family members die, they get stabbed, etc... It happens and that shit is hard to deal with. If you're out here looking for pity and sympathy you're only selling yourself short and ruining your own life in the process. You're gonna be broke, miserable, and not a lot of people will want to be around you. If you don't have the capacity to take your tragedies and turn them into triumphs you're missing a giant piece you need for the personal success puzzle. Don't bitch about your problems.. Make your problems your bitch. . Bring on the open! 💪🏾
