While Vanessa wasn’t one to participate in the abuse that her elder brothers so violently issued against her two adopted siblings, for the most part, she turned a blind eye. Perhaps it was because she wished to avoid a lecture from Claude or Fred about how Vincent and Gilbert weren’t Nightrays and they were to be treated worse than dogs, or perhaps she chose to take neither side for fear of a conflict of sorts.
—-Either way, it was a little unnatural that she had stopped to check on the black eye that Ernest had so generously given Vincent.
“I didn’t ask you if you wanted to hold still or not.”
The fire in her voice dimmed a bit and she sighed.
"But it hurts, Vanessa! Don't touch it." He yelled, his
hand that Vanessa has probably pulled away from
his eye at least four times now, Vincent stopped
counting, since he didn't care, the pain in his right eye
hurt far too much for him to care anymore. He knew
how to take care of his own wounds, since he was now
very used to the abuse he was given from his 'siblings',
minus Vanessa & Elliot.
"I can handle it alone. You don't need to be here." he
mumbled, just wanting her to leave him alone, so he
could take care of his black eye, and transfer his pain
into stuffed animals. "I know I'll be fine, but I can handle
it without you." It sounded rude when it came out of
his lips, he didn't mean to sound that rude, despite the
fact that she was indeed a women, and therefore did
not trust her nor, need her.
