I'm currently writing a WiR Ralph/Turbo fic called Hello Old Friend on AO3

Every time I see his face I always have this urge to run up and give him a BIG kiss.

and to close out our sketchdumping, the weirdest thing that i’m posting. dumb stuff about the origins of those two dumb adorable glitchy kid bugs.

This basically reveals that the whole thing is really AU! It starts being AU from the point at which Ralph leaves to go make the beacon, during which he gets devoured by a Cybug and becomes Ralphbug. Ralphbug is still mostly Ralph, though, so he manages to get to the caldera where KCB is waiting. And then… uh. Well. Things happen. Things that should not be spoken of on this blog. (Let’s just say it involves a fair amount of altered mental states to happen in any case. Hello there, pheromones!!!!) IN ANY CASE at the end of the Things That Will Not Be Spoken Of Here, Ralph DOES manage to create the beacon and escapes with Vanellope’s help (i.e. he falls down because he can’t fly and she drives to meet him and the momentum of her speeding kart manages to change his trajectory so that he goes through the mountainside rather than falling into the lava). However, KCB manages to escape too, and is then drawn to Ralph (he still hadn’t gotten over the Things, I suppose.)

SO THEN everyone’s left with a Ralph who’s a 32 foot long Cybug and a King Candy/Turbo who is also a Cybug and could become dangerous at any moment, were he not kinda… lazing around on Ralph’s back.

AND THEN STUFF HAPPENS AND IDK WHAT ELSE TO SAY AND THAT IS HOW THE WEIRDEST FAMILY IN THE ARCADE ORIGINATED.

oh god I’m fairly ashamed of myself. But….

still unsure where im going with my art style at the moment lots of experimenting as always...

Nahh, since this fic is a lot heavier subject matter, I felt kind of weird about doing the preview posts for this one because it'd just be, like, "HORRIFIC TRAUMA RESPONSE PREVIEW! 🔥" every time, which just felt a little odd to do. 😂 Idk, probably just me being weird and overthinking it, I'm simply being a bit more reserved/guarded with this fic because it's pretty personal and heavy, lol. I do have the next two covers drawn already, so you can have little snips of those I guess, since you asked lol. Just small ones tho. 💯 (Started using the ch.6 one as my icon a while ago bc his exhausted, depressed vibe there is painfully accurate to the entire thing, sobs)
