Yagen- loses it- pushes up his glasses to make himself seem like he’s not losing his cool when he actually is- brain math meme to see if there’s a way to wipe saniwa’s memory- honebami is amazed yagen’s working this hard to think of a solution when namazuo hurls horse dung and talks about it - Toushirous all want to figure out what it is so they can help him but he’s too embarrassed to tell them- thinking hard about how he should be fixing it for a week until the saniwa tells him Yagen’s brain should be used on the medical pursuits that help the citadel instead because saniwa will always love yagen, no matter whatTonbokiri- Here’s the thing, he’s an adult man, with adult friends, he’s gonna get himself mad drunk after this because he can’t take it and Nihongo and Jirou are ... certainly influential- Dignity? Gone, he could have saved three children from a burning building the next few sorties but he’d still think about that one time he did something embarrassing - Personal agenda but I think he’d be a little kicked puppy like after it, like he looks so deep in thought and it’s so unsettling saniwa would be like “oh! tonbo, so cool!” just to make him think they never saw it

- his sortie team is the first one to freak out, they want to pull back immediately though their leader kashuu just wants to finish it, if he gets hurt anymore if one were to strain their ears (or sometimes not, if it’s mutsu or one of the louder ones) cries of them taking hits for kashuu whilst calling him their cute prince

- yamanbagiri tearing off clean bits of his hood to use as a makeshift bandage saying he can just clean it or patch it up later, he rather have ruined his cloak then have stood there and done nothing

- hasebe sees him the minute kashuu staggers back into the citadel, and like with anything loves and cherishes he’s already losing it- his arm is tucked under kashuu holding him up 

- horikawa is insistent on patching him up + the rest of the shinsengumi watching over him and holding his hand and trying to ensure he’s as comfortable as possible 

- heshi and mitsu in the kitchen making kashuu soft foods to eat because “the injured shouldn’t strain themselves”, kashuu eats nothing but chawanmushi and soft foods for a week (bonus if you want to think they handfeed it to him)

Kakaka here comes every saniwa’s worst nightmar-
