A friend recently asked me, quite out of the blue, if I liked Brass. Of course I said Yes (doesn't everyone love Brass?) - and later that day, I was presented with these beauties from @inventery.co - I am indeed lucky to have such kind and generous friends. I just love how Brass (and Silver) takes on a patina through use. The tools become a kind of logbook of their own lives. In this case, though, I helped the process along a bit by ageing the brass. It is juicy, offers a lot of line variation, and yet is very smooth. But wait, there's more! If you turn the nib upside down, it writes like a medium round nib for everyday writing. I can highly recommend Salman's services! In this case, his turnaround rate was actually two working days, but obviously that will vary based on how busy he is. The ink is Montblanc Cornpoppy Red. These short holders work really well with folded nibs, especially when you want to switch to a knife grip. They perform just as well as a straight holder so make for a more versatile tool overall. Really enjoyed playing with Metallics and Silvery Graphite (using real Graphite) from Wanderlust Watercolours (@wanderlustwc ) These paints are hand made with a special binder formula that makes them very easy to use.
