It’s Not Lotion Why Does Everyone Say That

Finally finished my Art Fight card!! Truth be told I was putting it off bc I always struggle with my card.. I think you can kind of tell with the small character drawings LOL.

I think it’s interesting to see how my art changed in a year! Even though Hoover’s ref looks more or less the same lol. I feel like my lineart actually got thinner, but in exchange it’s a lot cleaner.

Exercising my free will by drawing Toothpaste and Hoover Splatoon as little Among Us guys. And I guess Crest is technically here too.

I wonder if posting the full chart will make people realize Toothpaste actually isn’t my shortest inkfish! I know them being short is a common joke though haha.

Kind of random but I’ve had this concept itching away in the back of my mind and I finally decided to execute it bc I had a burst of inspiration the other day.

So uhh this is Freya!! She’s a revival of an old concept I had back in 2023 that I never finished, but she’s real now (but different)!

Here’s some basic info:

- She is a lesser flying squid (Todaropsis eblanae), and is a pretty young inkling. She’s only around 10 or 11, so hasn’t gotten her humanoid form yet.

- I think it may be obvious, but she really likes bugs. Even though she lives in the city now, she still carries her bug catching gear with her everywhere.

- Freya’s family very recently moved to Splatsville from a pretty rural area. One of Freya’s favorite activities used to be exploring the forests of her old home. She misses that a lot.

- A genuinely friendly and well-meaning girl, but she tends to scare people away with her eccentricity. She also quite independent and never really minds being alone. When she is around others, she’s more likely to try and take charge of things.
