Too Sweet Fundraiser

Today, October 8th, is the last day of the fundraiser. Jarod’s birthday is tomorrow!

So far, thanks to your generous donations, bids and purchases we have managed to raise over 700 USD. All the money will be going directly to Rainbow Railroad so they can continue their important work of helping LGBTQ lives escape systematic persecution, imprisonment and state-sponsored violence across the globe. 

This is the last chance for you to donate directly to the fundraiser through YouCaring or shop from the Redbubble store for your Miller and The100 related merch  - all proceeds go to Rainbow Railroad. 

Every direct donation made by the end of the day tomorrow will be in the running for a raffle where you can win this signed photo by Jarod Joseph himself.

Target update:

So far we’ve raised in excess of $300 USD and we’re getting close to our $500 target. 

The auction is coming together and will include items signed by Jarod, Eliza, Lindsey, Ian, Marie, Ricky, Chris, Richard, Sachin, Zach, Tasya, Jason and Jess, plus some specially commissioned jewellery. The auction should be up by next week so keep your eyes open.

Thanks to everyone who has supported this little fundraiser so far! So far we’ve raised $150 USD in donations and the Redbubble store is now up and running fully.

The Too Sweet Fundraiser is a project for Jarod’s 32nd birthday on the 9th of October. It’s a way for his fans and fans of the 100 to come together and support a good cause and to spread some positivity. 

The charity we’ve chosen to raise funds for is Rainbow Railroad, a Toronto-based charity that helps LGBTQ people escape persecution and violence. In many countries across the globe, sadly, people still live in fear and real threat from institutional, government sanctioned violence simply for daring to be who they are and Rainbow Railroad helps bring people to safety and freedom.

This charity does incredible, life changing work and has been endorsed by Jarod for this campaign. Jarod has portrayed LGBTQ characters at several points in his career, and Nathan Miller stands out as one of The 100’s most unassuming, intersectional LGBTQ characters. But more importantly The 100 fandom is full of people who find representation in the show’s themes and characters, characters who are as diverse as the fans who love them. The 100 fandom has shown up time and time again for the causes that inspire them, and together, through positivity, we can help where it matters.
