On a semi-related note, pretty much all of the female Forsaken have a believable reason for turning evil whereas only Aginor and Ishmael on the male side do.
Lanfear and Aginor are mad scientists, good for them dropping whatever their version of the FDA and OSHA are.
Ishmael is a philosopher. If you've ever taken a philosophy class and had to deal with the unit during the later part of the Enlightenment, where everyone is basically playing 'gotcha' with one another's logic, you'd lose it and decided nihilism was the answer too.
Semirhage (doctor), Mesaana (teacher), Graendal (therapist), Moggy (hedge fund manager) all have public facing jobs. Could you imagine instead of a couple of decades dealing with the idiocy of the masses you have CENTURIES to look forward to it?
Belthamel and Rahvin are just poly-sci man-whores. Asmodean is a musician. Be'lal is really into like, fencing and basically a LARPer. Sammael and Demandred are jealous of a guy. Could you imagine how miserable and pathetic you have to be to be envious of some dude who ALSO has has the equivalent of the Noble Peace Prize? Anyway, RJ/Sanderson should've let Rand share some of this information with his friends, particularly Mat. I should have been able to read about Mat oscillating between being impressed at Demandred's military mind AND thinking about what a loser he was to still have have one of the dumbest grudges ever millennia later.
