Our Sun 8-21-17 8AM Took this picture in Oregon on the morning of the total solar eclipse. It is the first photo I took as I was getting ready to capture the eclipse. As the anticipation of seeing one of natures most extraordinary events grew closer, I began a series of photos that will eventually become a timelapse of the moon eclipsing our sun, into totality, and out again. The processing of this timelapse is still ongoing, but since I've been repeatedly asked where are the photos..? I thought I would start with this. The one that starts it all. Although I had been simply testing my settings, and adjusting my focus, I was surprised and amazed to see that I had captured a total of six sunspots... Enjoy.
