Something I've gathered, is that almost everyone seems to think they only have a "necessary" number of shoes; however, everyone has a DRASTICALLY different idea of what that is.
For purposes of this post, I'm defining "shoe" as "footwear you'd wear outside the house", and "actually used" as "something you've worn within the past month, and/or that you expect to wear again within a year".
Reblog with how many pairs of shoes you have that are actually used, and what they are.
For me, it's a pair of steel-toed shoes that are what I normally wear when I have to wear shoes; sandals; running shoes; and winter boots. So, four pairs. (Plus there's the old worn-out stuff that I just keep in the closet because I'm allergic to throwing things away if it's still vaguely functional, but that's why I specified "actually used".)
the chain of cause and effect is so funny. wdym the succession episode "Connor's Wedding" sent Rupert Murdoch's real-life children into a panic and caused them to take certain legal actions that ended up with Rupert Murdoch and his oldest son Lachlan buying out all the more progressive siblings, permanently quashing any hope of Fox News drifting even the tiniest bit leftward after Murdoch dies

they are in love here
my documentary class is full of a disproportionate number of beautiful and intelligent women and I donāt really know how to handle it
hey I know I havenāt been here in a while (shits been busy) but I had to log back on momentarily to tell you all that I work at Starbucks now and today is pumpkin spice launch day and. well Iāll be honest I thought the hype around PSL day was being exaggerated for comedic effect. but boy fucking howdy was I wrong
Interaction I had four times in the first hour of being open, before 6:30am:
woman in drive-thru: Do you guys have pumpkin spice?
me: Yes, we do!
woman in drive-thru: eardrum-shattering, full-volume, 12yo-seeing-one-direction level wordless SCREAM
Iām not gonna judge you for enjoying pumpkin spice because itās a fun seasonal drink and I think people should enjoy nice things. I AM going to judge you if you, a fully grown adult woman with a job, unleash a banshee shriek directly into my eardrums at 6 in the morning over it

if I ever strike gold and end up writing a popular book series i'd love to keep an eye on the fandom to determine the smallest crackship and make that the only one that goes canon
those three people in the fandom when the final book drops and the rarepair kisses:

have an interview this morning for a job which would come with pretty significant responsibilities (and decent pay!!) and they said they would send me a rundown of how the interview would go and theyā¦. didnāt. Ah well.
the most annoying people on any social media platform that hosts short-form video content are without a doubt the ones complaining about āfood wasteā
Iām not talking about people commenting on videos where someone pours 100 gallons of maple syrup on their counter for rage bait views btw. although tbh I think if you pay for 100 gallons of maple syrup you should be able to pour it all over your counter if you want. even if I personally think thatās a pretty stupid thing to do with your money and syrup and counter. because individual people buying food and then wasting it is not at all on the same environmental or economic scale as corporations throwing away hundreds of tons of unsold food items in an attempt to maximize profits. but tbh Iām not even talking about THOSE people, Iām talking about the people who comment about āfood wasteā on a skit where somebody throws a bagel across a room or dumps a box of cereal in the trash. truthfully the dumbest possible thing to put your time and energy towards hating.
