I started watching The Heir with my boyfriend because he’s into Chinese calligraphy and after 10 episodes his one comment was “wow there’s a lot of face slapping in this show.”

Just saw the trailer for the new Sense and Sensibility adaptation.

I’ll stick to the 1995 Ang Lee adaptation.

There are many things that I didn’t vibe with, but the thing that stuck out the most to me was Marianne’s hair. Why is it always so loose and LIMP?!

Also, why is everything so dark and dingy? I think this version has the same producers as the 2005 Pride and Prejudice (I know people have many thoughts about that version but I personally liked it), which would make sense because it feels more like a pastiche of 2005 P&P than an actual adaptation of Sense and Sensibility. Maybe it’s just the trailer misleading people and trying to evoke 2005 P&P to get more interest, I don’t know. I’ll probably still check it out because I’m a heaux for these kinds of stories but…as is, I’m not feeling very optimistic.

The best thing that came out of watching the trailer for the new adaptation is that it led me to looking up photos from the 1995 version, which reminded me of how hot the 1995 Willoughby was. I mean…

Yeah I’d let that man temporarily ruin my life.
