We are nines

My driving instructor has given me nothing but problems since I started. He's completely unprofessional, arrives late, and consistently cancels my lessons. 

I've been learning for 2 months now and I have my test booked in for halloween. I got a call yesterday from him saying he's ill and can't teach me. I now have 10 days to find another instructor, take some mock tests and get to grips with a new car. 

Well, I was waiting around. Things happened. 

Waiting around isn't technically the correct phrase to use I suppose, but I wasn't actively applying for any jobs. The last one I applied for was a position at Sky in March. I had an interview but I didn't have quite enough mobile development experience for the role. 

Then this Tuesday I get a phone call from the director of a Marketing and PR company...the interviewer at Sky has referred me to him and he's interested in seeing me for a role he has. 

I go in on Thursday for an interview, impress everyone and get a call on Friday morning offering me the job.
