Jester

She is surprised when he shows up beside her, a gentle start that has her reaching out to maybe elbow or punch whomever decided that was a good idea. Instead she is greeted with a kiss, her nose scrunches up in delight. Cheeks flushing just briefly as she watches him blink away.

He’s gotten better at it. 

She smiles brightly at him, cheeks and nose scrunching up from it - a laughing falling from her lips, a hand reaching out to gently hold onto his arm,

She doesn’t always notice him staring, actually, it’s very rarely at all that she does catch him. Jester is far too invested in the world around her, the people, the places, the things she can do. 

So he’ll get to watch her smile light up when things go well, the frown that appears when they don’t. The worry during fights, though not the tears. 

She’s good at hiding those.

Jester catches him once or twice, and she’ll call him out on it - only to allow him to sweet talk his way out of it, it’s only fair.
