MegaDrive Covers

My name Is Toei! i make covers of songs in the soundfonts of the original sega genesis sonic games! HOW do i make them? well...i use the MIDI/MID format, and apply SF2 files to them! most of my covers run at the native genesis limitations, aside from a select few. ALL my covers run at the native genesis Hz of 22Khz. for an in-depth break down of a cover, or isolated segments, please feel free to DM me!

I have to admit why i haven't posted in 9 days...i've been doing...SUPER NINTENDO COVERS...i betrayed my people..

typically it can take anywhere from a few minutes, to upwards of a few weeks when a song doesn't have coverage. one song i did a while back was actually a piece from my orchestra class called "Thundersnow," and i had to read the whole thing from sheet music to midi. took me about a month since i was still learning, had to gather physical sheets from four other classmates, read treble, alto, and bass clef, and it was my first real cover! the percussion line is sampled straight from the sonic 1 title, since there wasn't one for the original song. i actually had to check my old OneDrive just to get the file back! i was (and still AM) the upright bassist, so to say i was jealous of a segment in the cellos part is putting it lightly.

Well, you're the boss! this is what i have finished at the moment, but more IS to come!

so, today i learned that it's Alzheimer's and brain awareness month! as such, i've made two covers! Starlight zone represents the feeling of forgetting. each instrument is a memory, slowly vanishing, or warping, until nothing is left. Casino Night Zone is based solely off of The Caretaker, or Everywhere at the end of time!

And why not give you guys a tiny teaser?

I thought it'd be fun to make, now that TADC is over!
