In the aftermath of a freak car accident, Christen Heath-Press wakes up in the hospital with no memory of the last six years, including her marriage to her wife and best friend, Tobin. What follows is a journey of patience, frustration, guilt, and tenuous understanding as Tobin wrestles with loving her wife who has no memory of her, and Christen wonders if she will continually disappoint the person she’s desperately trying to remember.

In this chapter, Tobin explodes some worries, doodles on a field trip form, and teaches Scottie about hitting the brakes.

As for Christen, she feels like Scottie is raising them sometimes, hands out snacks like the Momma she is, and searches for the next piece of their someday.
