Why is Kel from Not Suitable for Work sooo underrated. Where are my edits and my x reader fics bro.
and when it comes to a three way w Geto and Gojo the jjk fandom donât playyy
a/n: quick quick short small maiko snack. Wrote this because so many people think that Mai is soulless when sheâs rlly not. I think sm fans watched this show but they didnât WATCH the show. When it comes to Mai she really canât show emotions herself but I feel like when it comes to other people she can clock how they feel and moves according to that. I thought about this when I was watching the scene of her waiting outside the war meeting Ozai didnât invite Zuko to because she knew he was nervous, I think when it comes to comforting people her silence translates better than her words. (Also this probably isnât lore accurate shii call it creative liberty) also wrote this half asleep and not proofreadâ€ïž
Synopsis: Mai comforts Zuko after his mothers death
Warnings: grief(?)
He hadnât cried all day. He figured that it wouldnât hurt so much if he just stopped feeling, listening, accepting. So he dissociated, figured out the perfect moments to nod or make a âhmmâ noise to let people think he was actually in the conversation. Every âIâm so sorry for your lossâ or âYouâre so strong Zuko, hang in thereâ or, worst of all, âEverything happens for a reasonâ felt like someone was taking a sword and stabbing him in the chest over and over again. He didnât know how he held it in the whole funeral, but he did. No feelings, no emotions, no tears. It wasnât till the reception room started filling up with people, a bunch of adults Zuko barely knew. Everyone grabbed at the refreshments that covered the table, eating, talking, laughing? Laughing. The same people who were crying 30 minutes ago telling him how sorry they were how strong he was had already moved on from his motherâs death in the matter of seconds. Was he the only one who remembered? He couldnât breathe, his chest rose and fell heavily as he pushed through the doors to the palace gardens. He sat down, back against a tree, head hiding between his knees. He just wanted everything to disappear, but still he didnât cry. Behind him, foot steps rustled in the grass. He froze squeezing himself tighter like heâd disappeared and whoever it was wouldnât see him. He still didnât look up but the footsteps stopped in front of him. God he hoped it wasnât Azula. Accepting his fate, he looked up, Mai stared back at him and he couldnt read the expression on her face, I mean he never really could unless she was feeling it exceptionally. But he was also waiting for the usual lines to come, the âsorry for your lossâ âI couldnât imagine loosing my mother at such a young ageâ âshe was a lovely womanâ. It never came, but after Zukoâs eyes invited her to sit she did and she stayed quiet. For the first 68 seconds they sat in silence, both staring at the leaves, plants, and grass in front of them, listening to the sound of the wind passing through each. Then he sniffled, once, twice, and then let out a hitch. The tears were rushing down his face faster than he could comprehend. Mai put a hand on his and his cries got louder. The tight ball he had rolled himself into had loosed as he layed the side of his head in her lap. He cried so hard that his chest and head hurt. He was exhausted from feeling that much in such a short amount of time. Zuko didnât know how long he cried for or when he had fallen asleep but by the time he woke up the sun was setting and Mai was still there. He got up in a rush extremely embarrassed, partly because she had just watched him cry like a baby and also because he had drooled. He looked at the expression on her face, she was squinting looking at the scenery in front of her, brows furrowed, lips twisted slightly in disgust, before he could open his mouth to thank her or apologize, she started, âUgh, orangeâ then she turned to look at his face. He laughed, more than he had ever in the past two weeks he couldnât understand why it was so funny. Maybe he was going crazy from the emotional roller coaster he just went on. What he did know was that this was the first time he had allowed himself to feel since his mother died, and maybe all he needed was to not be told that the world was sorry for it or that he was strong, because he wasnât and that was ok.
I love that whenever theyâre cuddling or hugging sheâs touching his scar/his scar is touching herđ„č

Current mood: heavily mourning 2020 and the peak of my âidgaf if you think Iâm cornyâ phase
only real ass bitches get tyzula and maiko
Mai and Zuko
She cried when she said sheâd been promised to another man.
Synopsis: Mai and Zuko get back together, Kataras the goat
warnings: forced marriage, cheating(not between Mai and Zuko and does it rlly count if itâs forced marriage :/), angst(?)
w/c: 1.7k
a/n: (gonna yap) Thought abt this after finding out the creator of the comics said mai and zuko get together 3 years after I also love the idea of Katara and Mai being good friends and itâs so funny that bc I was thinking abt this and i eventually ended up w the conclusion of them being together and I donât hate that idea but I also just love a wlw ship and lastly I have a love hate rls with the whole âdonât marry himâ trope especially if itâs like on the wedding day bc wtf did you wait so long and also it puts her in a sticky situation (for example belly and Conrad) but on the other hand itâs kinda like she wouldâve been in a sticky situation anyway but I made sure to add a little bit of both perspectives bc I do get both sides (this is proofread btw)

He thought about that day a lot, almost every day actually. He knew it was his fault, the lies, the secrets, they all drove her away. Itâd been exactly 3 years since Mai had broken up with him. He could still remember the look on her face, tears swelling in her eyes looking down to avoid eye contact as he stared at her begging her to stay. It didnât work, he was too late, heâd made his bed and now he had to lie in it.Â
He walked closer to her âPlease Mai donât do thisâ
Heâd lost count of how many times he said that word
Her eyes finally met his, her hands cupping his face, thumb stroking his scar âGoodbye ZukoâÂ
Heâd been lying on his side staring at his wall just thinking about how he could mess up this much, it was almost pathetic.
After much contemplation, he decided heâd write, a letter, another letter. In the past three years, he wrote to her about 300 times, but he never received one back. He had no idea why he was still going, or even what the fuck he was writing about honestly, but he was just holding on to any piece of hope that sheâd receive the letter and consider letting him love her again.Â
But for Mai this was torture. At first the letters came like a title wave. Every day, every week once a month, then every once in a while, and those hurt even more. Every time she thought she was getting better, getting over it, sheâd receive another letter, an apology with a declaration of love, a plea for reconciliation. It only hurt so much because she really did still love him but she couldnât deal with the lies and secrets. She too spent nights staring at the wall, rereading Zukoâs handwritten letters stained with her own tears. She kept every single one hidden underneath a box under her bed along with a gold necklace heâd given her that she never wore anymore.Â
3 years later
Mai stared at the silver ring on her finger as she riffled through the hangers of clothes. Lost in thought and barely blinking until she heard her nameÂ
âMai?âÂ
She turned over to face the person, eyes immediately widening in pure shock, it was Katara.
âKatara wow hiâ Mai responded a little late.
Kataras eyes caught the ring and for some reason, an unexpected wave of embarrassment washed over Mai so she tried to tuck it away behind her back.Â
âWow! Youâre getting married?!â It was Kataraâs turn to be shocked.
Mai responded bringing her hand out from behind her back fidgeting with it almost as if she was trying to hide it still âYeah..â Her face was getting hotÂ
âWhoâs the lucky guy?â Her question came out in a stutter
âHis name is Emun heâs umm a son of my parents' friendsâ Tears started to tickle her eyes, she was incredibly embarrassed.
âDo you like him?â
Mai only chuckled in responseÂ
Katara studied the womanâs face âAre you happy?â
At that, her smile dropped, but she laughed again because if she didnât she would end up crying âIâm getting married in 5 days KataraâÂ
âThatâs not what I askedâ and she examined her face again, waiting for a reply, but it didnât come. âGood luck Mai, Congratulationsâ she said before turning around to leave, and she really did mean it.
âKataraâ she paused âIâm sorryâ
Katara turned to face her again, she knew what she was talking about, Mai had moved all the way across the nation completely cutting everyone off.
âI understandâ she stepped closer, opening her arms embracing Mai.
They stayed like that for a second and Mai let out a breath sheâd been holding for 3 years.
She pulled away âWe shouldâve kept in touch more.â
âWe will, and everythingâll turn out exactly how it should I promiseâ
3 days later
Zuko stared at the glass sitting in front of him, half empty. He hated how sad he was all the time and how this had plagued him almost every day for the past 3 years.Â
âHeyâ it was Kataras voiceÂ
He didnât answer, just made a noise of acknowledgment and looked at her waiting for her to talk.
She took a deep breath, he already looked beaten down, how was she gonna tell him?
âUmmmâ she paused then looked around the room filling her mouth with air then letting it all out âYou know Mai is getting married?â
His body ran cold, his eyes widened, his stomach turned, and he could barely feel his hands. He couldnât speak, what was there to say? Every bit of hope was crushed with this one sentence, he was finished, there was no going back the love of his life was gone.
âI think you should talk to her, like actually go and talk to herâ Katara suggestedÂ
âAnd say what? She wonât wanna talk to me, I think she hates me now honestlyâ
âShe doesnât have to, but if you want even a sliver of a chance thatâs a risk you need to be willing to take, either that or she gets trapped in a loveless marriage and you spend your whole life wondering what you couldâve done differently. Iâm telling you right now what you need to do, you messed up once donât do it twice.â Katara knew that was a little harsh but it didnât matter he needed to hear it for his and Maiâs sake.
After someâŠresearch, courtesy of being the FireLord, he was making his commute trying to get to her as quickly as possible, scripting all the things he wanted to say the past 3 years.Â
By the time he had gotten there, the sun had begun to set, and it was rainingâŠgreat.
His heart was pumping out of his chest as he raised his hand to knock on the door, and then he heard a thump, as something fell. He whipped his head around.
âZuko?â Her eyes widened and immediately watered and her mouth opened slightly.Â
He said her name too but so quietly it was a whisper, almost like he didnât believe she was real.
She was frozen with her rising and falling hard, but when he got about 4 feet away she stopped him âYou need to leaveâÂ
He kept walking but slower now âMai please just listen to meâ he raised his hands slightly
She took a step backÂ
âPleaseâ he said again his voice slightly cracking as he got a really good look at her, she looked just as, if not, even more painfully beautiful than the day she left him.
He could see how heavily she was breathing now that he got up close.
She began âWhat are you doing hereâ
âI came to apologizeâ he answered almost before she could finish her sentenceÂ
âYou did thatâ Her arms were crossed like a shield.Â
âAnd Iâm still in love with you, I meant everything I said in those letters, I regret everything I did everything I didnât tell youâ he was rambling, his throat burned his voice cracked, his eyes were watering âPleaseâ That was the only word that could come to mindÂ
He ran his hand down her arm and grabbed hers, holding it up to look at the ring, he chuckled softly, Mai hated silver.
âI donât know what you want me to say Zukoâ
She tilted her head up as he got dangerously close to her face âSay that you donât love me anymore, and that you love him and you never wanna see me againâ he looked deep in her eyes then at her lips.
Her heart was racing, she started to shake her head, full on crying now âOf course I still love youâ She paused âYouâre so fucking selfishâ She hit his chest âWhy now after three yearsâ She hit him again âIâm getting married in 2 daysâ Her voice was cracking as she repeatedly struck his chest.Â
He tried to stop her by grabbing her hands and pulling her into his chest.
It didnât work âLeaveâ, she said sternly and shoved him away one more time, she looked him in the eye again with so much pain and love before walking inside her house.
He didnât watch her leave he couldnât do it, not again.
It was two days later and Mai was standing in front of the floor-length mirror, her hair up and pinned back in a bun, a long veil pinned to it. Her dress was white, with a train that flared out at the bottom band had straps that fell off the shoulder. She didnât even recognize the woman who was staring back at her numbly. Her thoughts repeated in her head over and over âI canât do thisâ âI have to do this âI canât do thisâ âI have to do th-â there was a knock at the door
âCome inâ she took a deep breath trying to pull herself together.
She kept her eyes on the mirror until she heard the door shut again then turned around. She froze.
âMaiâ he let out her name like a pray, she looked perfect, heâd always imagined her in a wedding dress but never for anyone else, and thatâs what hurt the most.
When her eyes met his she lost it, letting out a sob, she dropped to her knees clutching her chest.
He immediately rushed to her side dropping too to hold her.Â
âI donât wanna do thisâ she continued sobbing.
He pulled her closer to her chest âI knowâ
Mai pulled back to look up at him their faces closer than she anticipated.
âYou donât have toâ he cut off his own sentence by closing the space between that.
The kiss was filled with passion, their lips moving in perfect harmony. He cupped her face a little harsher deepening the kiss, heâd been craving this for the last 3 years.
He pulled away, looking in her eyes, âI love you Maiâ
She looked at him too but took a second to respond, âI love you too Zukoâ It wasnât because she didnât believe it, she just felt lost âFuck, what am I gonna doâ
âIâm gonna figure this out I promiseâ he promised pulling her back into his chest.
I hate that I ship niche couples bc wdym thereâs like zero masaru x mitsuki fanfics. And Iâve been thinking all day about a scenario of her dressing up as a video game character that used to be his childhood crush or something and then they have crazy sex, but like since thereâs no fics I canât even read anything adjacent to that.

Not being dramatic in the slightest but this scene, this single frame, permanently altered my brain chemistryâŠAdrian Chase the man you are.
I saw ONE edit of mha and my phase is coming back, I felt the spirit of 2020 creeping up on me so I went to go reread (or continue reading) this Bakugo fanfic from 2020 and when I tell you itâs still ongoing 5 years 36 chaptes NO KISS, talk about slow burn
also where are the kiri x Mina fics I canât find any or x reader like is anyone home orrr
Iâve been thinking about this all day and idk why I find it so funny, but future civilians/historians of the ATLA universe finding a letter FireLord Zuko wrote to FireLady Mai while he was away on a diplomatic trip or sum shi but itâs something along the lines of that one letter napoleon wrote to his wife that was like âhome in three days donât wash upâ
I think tumblr owes the jjk fandom a huge thank you because as long as theyâre here this place will NEVER be silent, the freaks are always lurking and Iâm not complaining.
With that being said there needs to be a study conducted on why this fandom is so freaked out and how they never run out of ideas. My theory is that thereâs just sm hot, appropriate men to sexualize and theyâre all so different itâs just like âokay take your pickâđ
Can you write for the one piece strawhats x reader (seperate) but make it pre-relationship
The boys get hit by a devil fruit and see a snippet of the future where they are older and happily married to their crush.
How would you write them dealing with the information they just learned that reader is essentially their forever life partner.
ê«áȘĘ luffy is resting restlessly in the infirmary as chopper tries his best to bare with covering up his wounds from a previous fight that only happened a few hours ago. but now he just seems energeticânot just his usual bounciness. no. it was the kind that had definitely had its own story.
coming into the room, the medicinal aroma of the place hit your nose immediately, briefly scrunching your face as you shake it off. "how are you feeling, luf'?" - "never better!!"
at some point he's going to rat himself out when he keeps giving you those sunny little glances that linger on your figure from behind... but with that vision in mind, he finds himself at ease in fights, if that was his destiny,
he'd only continue to fight for the future, a future where you two were as free as the wind, anyway.
ê«áȘĘ zoro can't hold eye contact with anybody anymore, let alone you. he feels like he wasn't supposed to see it, and feels undeserving of it. secretly, and privately, he wanted to earn a life with you, not get to know he'll get to have it anyway.
so if you notice he already starts to do more than usual for you, already knowing he treated you differently, this would basically confirm everybody's suspicions.
he gives in maybe a week or two after the incident, a vision he didn't mean to see that included you... he needed to tell you at any point at all really. when you found out though...
well the least the both of you could do with each other was that same signature silence. as if you already had all the conversations in the world.
ê«áȘĘ sanji can't hold back when he first sees your face. the kind of dream that makes him think 'this is very much a dream'. but after hearing chopper's explanation of the devil fruit's effect... he's swooning all over you. he won't say it outright, but the extra portions he slides you... the seasoning you ask for that he doesn't complain about.
it's hard not to notice how he moved with ecstasy around you. it felt smooth, insanely smooth. so much so, a drink is enough to make him spill on what he saw. not that he was exactly hiding it, anyways.
in summary, he's happy, and overjoyed that out of everyone, anyone, he got you. his 'chef instinct' not being wrong, you just might be the sweetness that makes the salty sea feel less lonely.
just them three cuz i don't feel like writing all of them, including the ones i havent even met in the eps im watching :' !! nami, robin, ace, law pt 2 maybe?

One of my least favorite things about this fandom is people saying dumb stuff like âI feel so bad for Zukoâ âHe needs someone softâ âHis girlfriend needs to be someone more whimsicalđ„șđ„șâ mind you this was his face lighting up from sokka just mentioning mai and describing her as âthe gloomy girl who sighs a lotâ trust me guys heâs right where he wants to be
ââč synopsis: (Adult) Mai and Zuko have a full circle moment during the days approaching their wedding
a/n: (gonna yap a little here) I absolutely see no maiko fanfics so Iâm stepping out my comfort zone to be the change I wanna see in the world Also this is like my first time writing anything not study based and trust yall will be sick when I learn to write better. The grammar is def buns and I didn't proofread but Iâm honestly not mad at how this turned out even tho I hate it more every time I look at it and rushed the end but anywhoo this is inspired the tiniest bit by a modern family episode I watched haha I think it was called aunt mommy
ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč ââč â
The room was loud, too loud, the little girlâs ear hurt, and she was exhausted. She had woken up early in the morning, had her hair done so it looked perfect, not a hair out of place. She had gotten the perfect outfit picked out for her not a single wrinkle in sight, she was told she âlooked perfectâ now she just needed to act the part.
Mai had no idea what the event was for, she never really did. Her parents would shove her in front of random people sheâd fake a smile, share some random fact sheâd learned in school that week and that seemed to have always done the trick. This night felt a little different though almost like sheâd gotten tired of putting on the facade, but no that wasnât an option, being anything other than perfect wasnât an option, not for her parents, not for her. But itâs hard to be perfect itâs hard to talk, to entertain when you canât breathe. Mai looked around the room for somewhere to escape, anywhere to go but here. She stared at a medium-sized table long red table covers draped over it, she looked around the room, everyone was occupied talking about whatever the hell, looked back at the tableâŠthen back up. She had barely decided that the coast was clear and that it was good enough before slipping right under it.
Tucking her knees to her chest, she shut her eyes tightly taking in a deep breath. She felt better but almost as if she could still be seen, like the covers were invisible and everyone was watching her be imperfect. The small space made her feel comfortable and safe, she had finally escaped, even if it was just for a little bi- her heart plummeted to her stomach and everything felt like slow motion as light started to peak through the covers, someone found her.
âWhat are you doing down here?â as she looked up she realized it was the voice of someone familiar
They started to crawl down to hide with her
âZuko?â Was all she could reply still calming down from the fact that she wouldâve been killed if it had been any other adult
He repeated his question âwhy are you down here?â As he fixed his posture under the table fully
She answered more monotone than intended âI got lostâ she didnât know why she was joking right now, maybe she was embarrassed?
âAre you serious?â He let out a chuckle nonetheless and that seemed to make her smile
There was, in Zukoâs opinion, an awkward silence so he spoke up âtoo loud? I hate these things too, theyâre so boring right?â Forgetting to let her respond.
âYea..â again she didnât know why it was so hard for her to speak right now.
The 5 seconds of awkward silence was killing Zuko again, he looked around, acting like he was taking in the view but it was really to avoid her stare âthis place is like a secret portal-â
He was making himself cringe but he couldnât stop talking âand weâre like in a magical far away land now, away from all the evil scary adults-â
He started to hear her giggle..at him? But that was okay he liked that he was making her happy
(Give or take) 20 years laterâŠ
âThis place is beautifulâ Katara looked around starry eyed Aangâs hand around her waist smiling, although he was looking at her more than he was the room
Sokka joined in, âthis mustâve cost liked a gazillion dollarsâ he had barely finished looking around the room (and his sentence) before seeing to some random table that had an edible arrangement and running towards it
âEh itâs alrightâ Toph joked as she stared off to the side and scratched her ear
They all chuckled lightly those joked never really got old
Katara started as she rolled her eyes at Tophâs joke âMai must be so happy about how this all turned outâ she squealed âI donât know how the wedding could get more beautiful than thisâ
Aang looked confused âWhere..is Mai?â
âI think sheâs talking to some of her familyâ Zuko didnât let to much panic settle in as they scanned the room with their eyes.
âIâll uhhh be right backâ he turned away to find his soon to be wife
She wasnât in the reception with everyone else so he started to move to the dining room where everyone had just had dinner. But it was remotely emptyâŠhe squinted and eyed the table, walking slowly towards it.
He lifted the red table cloth bending down to look under it. Surely enough his fiancĂ©âs eyes looked back at him.
âZukoâ
He crawled underneath the table to be with her âMaiâŠwhatâs wrong, too loud?â Asking and answering her question in one breath.
She just shook head. She didnât know why she couldnât speak.
âCmon Mai, talk to meâ he stared in her eyes begging her for the problem so he could just fix it.
She shook her head again, then spoke up âI donât want all of this Zuko, itâs too muchâ
Now his heart sank âYou donât want to marry me?â He barely whispered it, too scared it would be true.
âNo Zuko!- I mean yes of course I wanna marry youâŠjust not- not like thisâ she answered quickly, urgent to clear up any bad ideas he had
âI donât understandâ
âYou havenât noticed that weâve had no part in this wedding, like at all. Itâs all been my parents, I mean my whole life has been them controlling me, itâs all for me, but itâs actually not, itâs for themâ she was getting loud but he just watched her as she took a pause, shaking her head again âbut Iâm done Zuko, I want my own life, so Iâm doing MY wedding how I want, and that starts with not having 10,000 people that I donât even know thereâ her voice was shaking like she was scared to finally voice her own opinion after all these years.
He scanned her face for a second to make sure she had gotten it all out, then he started, âOkayâŠwell how do you want our wedding?â
6 months later..
There the two of them stood her hands in his.
The breeze blew through Maiâs hair as she stood seconds away from marrying the love of her life, everything was almost silent, almost like it was just the two of them there. He stared back at her the thing he cared most about in this world, finally going to be his at last
âI now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the brideâ Iroh looked up and watched the both of them with happy tears swelling in his eyes.
Clapping erupted as they both leaned in her arms around his neck and his around her waist.
The feeling was electrifying.
They leaned back to look at eachother. Theyâd always been each others but this just felt different.
Zuko kept his gaze on her as she turned to look at her wedding, her small wedding with beautiful, calm, decorations, her friends and familyâpeople she actually knew, people who actually cared for her.
