my overall opinion of the whole "i became a white nationalist because people called me racist for no reason" talking point is that while I do think spurious accusations of bigotry are a problem, if your immediate reaction to being called racist is to become an actual white nationalist then it sounds like they were right about you being racist. like I don't think that accusation was spurious.

Decided to just go ahead with plying my handspun cotton and I'm quite happy with it!

About 5.5 grams on my smallest spindle (affectionately named "kleintje" or little one/little sibling (my bigger turkish spindle is grote zus/big sister)). It did break here and there while plying so there are some fly aways and knots, but oh well.

Need to measure still, but 100 meters maybe (hopefully)? Will update!

5,6 grams (excluding ties) and 91 meters, aka:

Almost 16,4 meters per gram, or +- 1637 meters per 100 grams.

That's pretty thin! Really fun experiment purely to see how thin I could reasonably spin. On to the next! I'm thinking about doing the same experiment but for some silk I have laying around...
