This is Scene 7, the end of Part 3 for Monster Friends sprite comic.

I cannot believe I’ve made it this far with the sprite comic. 18 scenes across 3 parts! I’m more than halfway through the Ruins chapter of Monster Friends, and I can’t wait to dig my heels into Snowdin…

What is Monster Friends? An Undertale AU sprite comic about four monsters and their search for happiness in the Underground’s premier combat sports competition, the Royal Games.

*No world at all will always be better than an unsaveable world full of monsters and horrors.

Weeks in the making, I present to you… FRAGMENTED, Part 1! Introducing the incontrovertible Joseph, the confused and terrified Narrator, and the exasperated Chara!

Due to the incredible speed at which I can shit out comic parts with paint.net (thanks to Thomas for showing me the ropes), I could reasonably have Part 2 out by next week or the week after. This is a fact, and a thing that could happen. Thanks for waiting so long, it won’t happen again (for a while at least).

It’s been two years since Sudden Changes has existed, for the public. The first original part was released on September 22nd, 2016.

Now for those of you that aren’t aware, I was introduced to Undertale by some of my Homestuck RP buddies. We all made our own characters and made ask-blogs for them.

Say hello to Spout, if you haven’t met him already. His old blog can be found here, though it is very old.

As you can see, a lot has changed about how I do sprites in the span of nearly 3 years :p

Now you may be wondering- why am I bringing up this guy when it’s the Sudden Changes 2nd anniversary?

Well that’s because Spout will appear in Sudden Changes.

Now I won’t tell you all the answers, but his influence may be apparent in the design of a certain special someone. A special someone that I’m sure you’ve been waiting to see.

Here’s Catty’s shopkeeper sprite also. As you may notice, all shopkeepers have a new art style.

And for those of you wondering if the Clam Girl scene from the Undertale Switch release will affect any of the story about the Followers, kinda. It’s not really that far out from what I had already planned.

Progress on the game engine is also going swimmingly, MrEpicIsHere777 has done an incredible amount of work.

It’s been 2 years since the world ended!

Woo hoo!!

Anywho, I had a special planned for today’s occasion, but a few complications happened that couldn’t allow me to do much. The gist of it was that I had to go through a wild goose chase in order to get into a school, and that whole thing basically let me sleepless for at least a day. I was tired as all hell, lmao.

I might as well make some announcements for the future, since that’s all I can give for today’s occasion.

First things first, a changelog will be introduced to the blog, documenting any future changes I might do relating to this AU. No more retcons without you knowing! 

Something like should have been introduced since the start, but, better late than never, as they say.

A bonus album called “Underupture” was supposed to be made for today, whole thing was basically just Undertale but with Jack. Nothing else, really. I did not have much motivation to finish it, so don’t expect it for a while. I’d rather focus on the actual comic.

Speaking of the comic, Part 15’s script has been mostly finished. All it requires is some final touches, then for the panelling. As for when that happens, give it some time. School just started and I’m still not out of the shithouse I’m stuck in.

For those unaware, last year I made a BTS post detailing some unused ideas and the general behind the scenes stuff regarding the AU. Another one of these will be made once Act 2 is finished.

With all this said, thanks for sticking by for these 2 years. I wouldn’t really continue without you.
