agnes martin used to say “happiness is the goal” and i really feel like i am achieving my goal when i work on a painting like this :) not that size really matters in art and life but this is by far my biggest work at nearly 2x3 feet. it is named after an elvis presley song (“if i can dream”) that i listened to ad nauseam while doodling, scribbling, and painting. thanks for looking! 💛💛 ••• beckoning candle, 2021.
