Enemy Mine 5: Stories - Chapter 5
Summary:
Gordon would love nothing more than to help his friend deal with a little rain and wind. Too bad things had to escalate beyond their control.
OoOoOoO
“Any chance your family can control the weather?” Fuse's holoprojection asked beside the storm tracking data from Thunderbird 5. The ex-demolition expert looked more hopeful than his illogical question would have indicated.
Gordon offered a sympathetic grin as he shifted the screen to view the tropical storm currently hovering over his friend's home. Between them, Ruth was attempting to climb over his extended legs, using them as her own jungle-gym for a one and a half year old. “Wish we could. I can't say I enjoy rescues during a hurricane.” A deft arm reached out to steady his daughter mid-climb, “Wouldn't hurt to check with Brains, though. I'm sure it's crossed his mind enough times to think of some cool, storm-neutralizing device.”
“I'm down for anythin’ at the moment. Been near three days since I had to close the bar, everyone stuck inside for this mess,” Fuse grumbled, scrubbing a hand over his face. “ ‘m bored.”
