KID YOUR GIVING ME A HEART ATTACK HERE
With the same expression a cat would make before pushing a glass off a counter, Zora leans over to the knobs and turns all of the stoveâs fires on. âYew canât stop me.â She taunted. âAh could set this whole place on fire if ah wanted too!â
Percy probably wouldnât be too happy about that, though. And blaming it on a freak accident probably wouldnât work either. And after that, there would be no reason why Percy and Ramsey would still keep her around.
There was the quiet click of a lock turning.
Zora glanced down at the fires. Uh oh. Better turn these off quick.
[M!A: 4/5]
fOR THE LOVE OF GOD TURN OFF THE STOVE- YOU'LL START A FIRE
She sticks out her tongue. âMake me.â Zora glares at the fire. Itâs hardly helping to warm her up at all. âThereâs nothinâ around for it to set on fire, âcept me. âNd look.â
She puts her hands in the fire. The fire curls around her fingers, but they donât burn. She can feel how hot the flames are, it should be warming her up, but it doesnât. âNot a very good fire.â She leans forward over it, glad that her hair wass tied back behind her. Itâs a little more flammable than the rest of her, and while it wouldnât burn away, she doesnât think Percy would appreciate coming home to an on-fire child.
[M!A: 3/5]
Hmm. Well that makes sense. I usually prefer the cold. But to each there own I suppose
Zora nods. âAhâm usually warm, so beinâ coldâs weird.â The sun wasnât helping, so she looked around for a better option. Hmm. The stove made fire, and fireâs warmer than sunlight. Percy and Ramsey werenât around to tell her not to, so...
âYew cold too, bud?â She asked the sheep as she got up. Browley bleated at her, which she took as a no. âNo tellinâ anyone âbout dis, âkay?â She fiddled whth the knobs on the stove for several minutes until one finally caught, turned it until the fire was as big as it could go.
âNo oneâs here so ahâll do what I want~!â She said with a sing-song tone as she clambered up onto the countertop. Zora put her hands over the fire, lowering them so they were practically in it, and sighed. âNo luck here. Still cold.â She reported.
[M!A: 2/5]
You good kid?
âYeah.â Zora says with a sigh. âJust cold.â Her extra poncho and Browley arenât doing much to help keep her warm, unfortunately. She feels colder than she was before. Awkwardly carrying the sheep with her, she made her way to the glass doors at the back of the house.
She sat down right next to the doors, and smushed her face against the glass. The sun helped chase away the cold for a few seconds, then the chill set in again. Zora was starting to get really annoyed and a little freaked out. âAh hate beinâ cold...â

M!A cold 5 asks?
Cold: Wear a jacket silly! Muse is always cold and doesnât know why and is always trying to snuggle up to another person.
Zora always felt a little chilly when she wasnât somewhere warm or out in the sun, but today she felt colder than usual. She grabbed her old, worn poncho and put it over her new one, hoping that it would help her warm up a little.
Several minutes passed, and she felt colder than usual. Zora grabbed Browley, happy that the sheep summon was still around, and buried her face in the fluff.
[M!A: 0/5]
What do you want to be when you grow up?
âAh wanna be a cowboy!â Zora exclaims. âOr maybe a cop, like Percy anâ Ramsey.â
She considers it further.
âYeah. Ahâd rather be a cowboy.â

âYeah, them. You say youâve had them forever? ..why would a regular mundie child have such strange marks..â His mention of that is rather explicit, and able to be heard very well, but itâs also a child that was supposedly found in..what, the forest? So maybe it was something epithet related. Maybe they just didnât know. Eh, whatever, she was adorable and he wasnât going to question anything.
âRight, right, Keep liking them, they are very amazing, little Zora. Would you enjoy Browley staying around you for a long time? I can easily keep my epithet running from a far range, if you wanna snuggle him for a while.â
She shrugs. âYep. Just natural ah think.â Honestly, sheâd never spent much time wondering about it. She didnât exactly spend a lot of time looking at her reflection in the forest, and even less time thinking about how she looks.
âAhâd like that! Thank yew, Doctar Sylvie! Say hi when yew help out Percy next.â Zora turned back to the sheep again. âLemme know when yew need ta leave, âkay, Browley?â The idea of someone just... disappearing on her with no warning... it scared her. Hopefully Percy and Ramsey wouldnât mind a temporary pet.

He observed the reaction to the sheep with slight mental note-taking, but was glad to see Browley wasnât being anything reckless or causing a ruckus with her. In fact, this was a delight, as the sheep just let her, nuzzling in care and comfort. Note: Use the sheep for children that come into the office, it might really assist them for therapeutic endeavors.
âIâm..afraid that keeping him might be difficult considering the intricacies of trying to take care of or own a sheep, and no less, heâs a summon, I havenât experimented with time limits, but I donât imagine him staying around. ..For now, you may though. Okay?â He gives a bright smile, the little âbaaâ from the summon almost seemed calming in of itself, trying to help someone sleep. When they werenât constantly nibbling of course.
âThank yew!â Zora took her face out of the fluff to beam at him- literally. The markings around her eyes and her irises flickered and flashed before fading to a dull glow again. She was oblivious to it, as always. âAh donât think Percyâd be okay with a sheep anywayâŚâ She giggles, a little embarrassed.
She briefly wondered what the best way to pick the sheep up was. She wanted to hold it, but that also probably wouldnât be a great idea. She didnât want to hurt him! âYer a good boy, Browley.â Zora told the sheep, patting his head.
The glow startles him for a moment, and at this point, heâs going to question it, because now itâs actually really interesting and he can barely let it go. The sheep was extremely light feeling, so picking it up wasnât too difficult even for a child in fact.Â
â..Say. those markings and your irises. Did you know they glow? Itâs actually sort of interesting, sort of like a little sun, you could say? Itâs intriguing.â He chuckles a bit, maybe alluding to it wasnât too great of an idea but itâll be alright, right?
She reached towards her face, tapping the three little triangles under her right eye. â...These?â Someone had mentioned it to her once or twice offhandedly. Maybe Percy had? No, it was probably Ramsey. Heâd definitely called her eyes freaky before. She shrugged. âYeah. Dunno where they come from. Ahâve had them forever.â
For as long as she could remember, anyway. A little flicker of familiarity ran through her at the mention of them being sun-like. It disappeared as suddenly as it happened, so she brushed it off. âDunno what they are, but ah like âem!â

âIf the other person has aquaphobia, yeah, I could very well do so and likely flood an area at the same time. I canât do it freely, however, unless someone is physically daydreaming or is in a groggy state. Hence, my sleep dust.â He gathers up a little of the sleep dust in his hand to show off, the orange powder glistening a bit in any light of the area theyâre in, before he turns away from her to scatter it away. Not wanting to get her in the crossfire.
â..Otherwise! I have a few small summons, including very fluffy little sheep that tend to nibble by my command.â
âHow fluffy are the sheep?â Zoraâs eyes light up. Come to think of it, she doesnât think sheâs ever seen a sheep before. She knows what they are, sure, but she canât picture on in her head. âAh wanna see them! There arenât any sheep in the forest.â
The triangles around her eyes flicker and glow a little brighter in tune with her excitement as she bounces up and down. Maybe epithets arenât so bad, if theyâre used for things like making fluffy sheep friends!
âOhh, very fluffy, and they really love people in fact, theyâd cuddle for hours, Zora. Let me demonstrate. Counting Sheep!â He lets himself glow a bright orange for a moment, as from behind him, one, little sheep with a pompadour ends up appearing and giving a light baa, seeing the child. He does think it..slightly weird for her eye tattoos to glow though.
âHere you go, little one. His name is Browley, and he loves meeting people.â Browley would go up to Zora, nuzzling her slightly with affection, how cute.
Zora crouches down and bops the sheepâs pompadour a couple times, completely and utterly delighted. âHiya, Browley!â She spends several minutes running her fingers through the wool, then wraps her arms around the sheep and shoves her face in the fluff.
âCan ah keep âem?â She asks, her voice rather muffled. She canât help but wonder, are all sheep this soft? Or are Sylvieâs just special? The fluff would make a perfect pillow, sheâs already feeling ready to take a nap from just shoving her face into it. It would make sense, too, given what heâd said his epithet was.
What's your favorite animal?
âAh like wulves!â She immediately blurts out, then thinks for a moment. âAnâ birds anâ squirrels anâ rabbits anâ fish-â She keeps rambling on, listing every animal sheâs ever seen. Itâs not a very long list, considering she used to live in the forest and hasnât seen a wide variety.

Heâs surprised at how quickly the child would surmise him possibly having an epithet, and giving two simple nods, maybe itâs interesting to her, perhaps a demonstration is slightly in order? âWhy, yes, I do have an epithet, and highly trained as well, a very powerful one! Do you want a demonstration?â
Heâs thinking itâll mostly be good for the child to be exposed to an example as soon as needed, and also needing to make a mental note to empty out the constantly building sleep dust in his coat fluff.
âAhâm not reallyâŚâ She trails off, trying to find a way to word her thoughts as she glares at the fading dust, mentally ordering it to stay away. âAh donât like epithets much but, as long as yew donât use it on me.â Some innate need to know demanded that she try to figure out what his epithet is.
âWhatâs yer epithet? Ah canât think of a word for sleep dust.â Something about him didnât feel particularly powerful to her⌠but what would she know? The only other epithet users she knows are Percy and Ramsey.
He stopped for a moment, and would think on what to do in this situation. He certainly wouldnât need to worry about a child using his own epithet against him if he said anything about the effects, it couldnât possibly bring harm or anything, right? So, it wouldnât be that bad, but she could inform guardians, perhaps, andâno, sylvie, youâre getting too into this. He breathes, and does speak.
âMy epithet is called Drowsy. I can effectively use the dreams of people as well as nightmares against them, or my own as an example. I..probably said too much. Is it interesting though? I could summon something as a good example!â He gets a little fast in speaking, but stops, remember, this isnât molly, donât speak machine gun.
She considers it. It certainly sounds interesting. âSo yew could summon my worst nightmare?â Sheâs not sure what that would be, and sheâs not interested in finding out.
âHow much can yew summon? Ah could see summoninâ like, a spider but could yew summon,â Zora tries to think of something. âAn entire lake?â
