hi there, lei (s/h) here! and this is ahn minhyun, manager of the wheat barrel, older brother and the guy who's always taking smoke breaks. you can check his profile here and some tidbits under the read more. if you'd like to plot like this and i'll dm you! ♥
his family situation is kind of a mess tbh. mother who always felt caged by marriage/motherhood and who left the second the youngest child turned 18. currently she's living somewhere in south america living her struggling artist life (she's a very good painter). father was a drunk his whole life and recently (five months ago) died of complications caused by alcohol.
minhyun left seomri at age 18 to complete his military enlistment promising he'd come back. he didn't. he came back just last year to help his siblings take care of his father. needless to say, it wasn't a warm welcome.
divorced. met his wife at college and got married young. she filled for divorce after five years of marriage and meeting a new person (her yoga instructor, a woman). minhyun signed the papers without a fight bc he didn't want to become like his father.
the job of manager of the wheat barrel kinda fell on his lap bc they needed someone who could also do the bookkeeping and he's an accountant so............. he's surprisingly very good at the job. lax with the employees as long as they do their job, but keeps taking super long smoke breaks at the alley behind the bar.
he's what you expect of a person in their 30s: tired, doesn't know any new slang, doesn't know any new idol group, doesn't like texting, not a cool big brother type at all.
nearsighted, you won't ever see him without his glasses, conveniently his eyesight started to go bad after his time in the military, probably thanks to all the time he worked until late in the night.
very good at cooking, card games and remembering facts about people's lives. very bad at playing darts, having a sense of direction and interacting with children.
open to all kinds of plots! anyone/everyone who goes to the wheat barrel and tries to get him to pay them a drink, friends who make him cook for them, people who knew him a child, anyone younger who asks him for advice only to be met with this expression: 😐, cousins perhaps? let's plot!
