Another day in the wild woods and The Forest Guardian walks peacefully on the paths he's known for ages, collecting herbs, getting supplies from Mother Earth to nurture the little creature he has found lost a while ago, hidden under a mossy tree.
Once he arrives back at their cozy den, the guardian finds the little creature crying and in distress...
What's wrong little one? (He asks with concern as he kneels beside the upset crearure)
The little one tries to explain how unfair certain things in the world are, and how it's past has not been great, all the worries and struggles resurfacing in a loud and angry storm...
The Guardian picks the little creature up in his arms...
I know little one, I know you're upset and today has been overwhelming, but let's breathe, alright? Deep breath in 1...2...3...4 hold 1...2 deep breath out 1...2...3...4...5...6
Good job little one! I'm so proud of you, it takes great courage to allow yourself to feel all those big stormy feelings, and then allow yourself to accept help from those who care about you ♡
The guardian gently wipes creature's tears, and then both get cozy on a soft bed made out of furs and moss
Now let me tell you a story, little one (the guardian says as he picks up a book from a nearby shelf)
The story of the great oak...it is one of my favourites and I believe you will enjoy it too (he says with a smile as he taps the creature's nose, making them giggle)
Once upon a time...creatures of the forest we call home stumbled upon an ancient oak!
Very tall! Taller than your favourite chestnut tree!
Oh yes, this tree has been in the forest for a long time, it gave us food, shelter, even companionship, and we called him the king of the forest...
Yes little one, king, a king to us is a being that guards and guides the ones that need it, the realm and area in which he is becomes his but not as ownership little one...it is his to love, to care for
Does that make you a king dada?
Me ? (The guardian chuckles) perhaps so, but I myself go to the forest oak for guidance
You do?! But you already know everything!
No no little one, I do not, the world is endless my dear, I do not know most of it and I might never know it all, and neither will you. But the oak knows, and he can show us the way when we get lost, even dada needs help sometimes
I can help! I wanna help dada!
Oh...little one you help so much, you bring me happiness beyond what I thought possible, now let's get some sleep...
The guardian tucks the creature in, and stays near until he is certain his little one drifted off into peaceful dreams ☆
