it seems to me that since the beard growth is now not quite as noticable as it was in its earlier stages, that the beard posts are losing stamina. losing value.  so i'm thinking maybe, if instead of documenting my face, i should document my life.  maybe once a week, i post about a friend, who they are, what they do, who i see them as.  so i need your help:

over the past month i've been shooting with a great mate of mine (green shirt).  after seeing some amazing skate shots uploaded by a good friend and even better photographer, thought i'd share some also.  this was my first attempt at shooting moving objects.  uber novice.

THE GREAT WINTER BEARD!

so this year marks a new begining for me.  i'm growing my first ever winter beard.  why?  because i'm single and i can and i dont have a girlfriend to tell me not to.  plus i'd also like to: ponder lifes mysteries whilst i stroke my beard, look more hardcore when listening to metal because i have a beard, and make the bottom of my head that bit fuller so i dont look like a mushroom when i throw my helmet on and go skating (problem solved by having a beard).  so yeah.  i plan on uploading a photo a week to show how its progressing.  this is something awesome so i want to document it like a boss.  so i have already shaped it (for the first time) and am keen to see how it comes along.  just praying it doesnt go ginger.  cause.  you know.  gingers...

"Trip to the Homeland"

hey.  so i'm sitting at home (im smithton) watching the footy show (afl) when they start the show with a eulogy to the great Jim Stynes.  Stynes was an irish guy who moved out to australia, picked up a footy, and took a natural liking to the game to become one of the sports greats.  years of retirement past and he fell ill with cancer and started a charity named Reach.  he worked with sick children and raised heaps of money for suffering clubs and community groups.  the guy was a natural born leader, with a never say die attitude.

which led me to the thought; "what have you done lately?!"

this is a pretty massive question.  like really, when you think of it, in the grand scheme of things, what REALLY have you done??  i kinda gave myself a rude shock with this thought. this guy was only in his mid 40's, and has done so much.  plus the guy was dying!  so really, we have no excuses to do something incredible with our lifes!

so now, we all just need to take a good look at ourselves, discard the crap that we see so important, and ultimately look out for other people.  cause that is what love is!

that's my rant for the evening.  and i know i will probably fail at keeping this post in the front of my mind.  but hey!

what have you done lately?!

so basically i'm chillin with my homie J-Rad, doing some sweet editing.  we thought we'd upgrade from iMovie and kick it with FinalCutPro X (or 10 to the normal person) to find out that its actually just iMovie on roids!  clearly unimpressed.  so.  just thought i'd have a rant on here cause i can!  whats more. it stops responding just to load something.  note to self:
