Sketches from today

Downloaded the trial of Corel Painter earlier and watched a few Sinix videos to help get acquainted with the programme. Here I just messed about with some brushes and loosely followed a landscape Sinix did. I really like the feel of this so far, so I’ll keep using it whilst the trial is still active and am considering buying it (Need to save up though!)

Doing a file clean-up and found these sketches from around 2015/ 2016, interesting seeing how far I’ve come. Definitely got a lot more confidence in my line work these days

Study of my friends face. Tried out the blending brush in photoshop for this, its okay. Really need to work on how I do eyes at the moment

(some studies based on work from good ol’ Andrew Loomis, REIQ, Kuvshinov Ilya, one body was inspired by Mr. Steak’s style. Also Ansel Elgort from “Baby Driver”)

But I had a ton of fun doing this, really looking forward to seeing everyone’s images in the final zine!

Looking at my hand, started drawing it, made a janky ass gif.

Bunch of the process from the Eyuta drawing. This was fairly challenging since J didn’t quite know himself what he wanted the creature to look like, so a lot of back and forth went on to get it right
